    Why post it again?

Also same price as earlier and just as fugly

  • Had a read of the website- What exactly can you trademark? A shoe with a big enough opening to slip into? A type of cushioning?

    • Hey Clinton,

The concept, which requires a unique last (the backbone of a shoe that gives it its shape) for construction of the footwear. Our trademark comes from the last.

      Thanks
      Steph.

      • Our Street Slips are the result of a stringent R&D and sampling process. We have successfully invented a trademarked last that enables all of the functions of our shoes. This is exclusive to us and to our knowledge, is indeed the first in the world.

Trademark's is used for identifying a product, yet, none of your customers see your "trademarked" last - you don't even show it on your website.

If you've invented something, you should be patenting it.

Still, I guess not too many of your customers will bother to think about it.

        • Hello Alex,

Thank you very much for that. We will see that our last gets promoted more. However, like you said, due to financial restrictions of being an operating start-up, we find it hard to patent it at this stage.

Patents are also complex areas and time consuming at the same time.

That being said, it will be something we will look into in the future.

          Steph.

      • Thank you for the response, I was just curious about it!

  • Are you ever going to reply to my email about your so-called 41-45 size socks not fitting half of the people they're advertised towards? Are these shoes also two sizes smaller than advertised?

    • Hello Dju,

I've just checked but we have received no mails. Would you kindly email us again on [email protected]. Thanks!

Ps. our shoes are EU sized, hence they do fit smaller then your regular UK/US as per our sizing guide.

      Steph.

      • Well your website's contact form doesn't work then. There's no such thing as a UK EU size, they are supposed to be equivalent, just like 39 is equivalent to a size 8 women's or 6 men's. I'll send you an email now.

        • Hello again Dju,

We still have not received your email if you have sent one.

Our shoes require a downsizing from industry standards. A lot of benchmade shoes, have this practice due to the culture (preference of societal sizing) of the place in which the shoes are made and or the last which is used. A quick google on "downsizing of shoes" will help you on this topic. I assure you it is a common occurrence on British/Italian brands like Grenson, Barker and Churches. Hence, the EU sizing generalization. That being said, every brand has its own unique cut, in which sizing may sometimes be complicated. A size M in brand A may fit as well as a size S in brand B for 1 individual and may differ for another. We understand that it is harder for footwear, so we try to give advice as accurate as we can.

If you require assistance on sizing or specific measurements, we are happy to provide, again just send us an email on the above address.

          Thanks
          Steph
