    • Choose Titanium color

      • this is for the titanium color

        • I see, you are using Amazon converter rate.
its cheaper if you pay US and using 28 degree credit card

That's the Titanium. His prices are in AUD, yours are in USD.

          this what I am getting

          Items: $112.99
          Shipping & handling: $10.18
          Total before tax: $123.17
Estimated tax to be collected: $0.00
          Order total: $123.17

          US $123.17 => AU 135.814 (as xe)

Plus the conversion fee unless you have a CC that doesn't charge conversion fees.

The Amazon AU price simply includes that already.

  • That was a quick price drop. Earlier today was still 170.

  • In what was is this better than the cheaper model ?

    • Slim has a metal case, but only one choice in color. As far as I've been able to find out, that's the only difference. The software is the same. I could be wrong.

The vanilla Passport is end of lifecycle. You can still buy it in AU presumably till stock is cleared out, but they're no longer listed on the WD site and Amazon doesn't sell them (except via resellers). The software didn't have the cloud storage and security included that the slim or ultra have.

not concerned about colour, cloud, software… just want good, reliable storage.

so all models have identical hardware internally ?

        • No different, slim is a newer product slightly smaller but also its read write speeds are down slightly compared against the ultra.

You can't get the 2TB version here in Aus for some reason not on the WD store anyway.

  • is this the same drive as
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/136085 ?

  • Is this drive much worse?
