White Nintendo Handheld Console 3DS with 3 Games @ $185 Shipped from Amazon UK

110

Even though product says 109 pounds, the bundle comes at 91 pounds and another 9 pounds for shipping. Games included in the bundle are Starfox 64 3D, Rhythm Thief and Street Fighter IV.

Although the 3DS has been superceded by the 3DS XL, it's still a nifty machine. Here, Kanye West provides a review of the 3DS console: https://soundcloud.com/owls-are-the-cutest-bird/kanye-gets-a…

I prefer the pocket-sized form factor of the 3DS over the 3DS XL - but that's totally a personal preference.

In case you (or anyone else) was wondering, the reason that it comes to £91 is that it removes the UK's 17% VAT for international purchasers such as ourselves. All overseas sellers should do this, but a lot of online UK shops(e.g. Zavvi/TheHut) don't, and just make some extra money off you. If you are dealing with a smaller UK company online it's always worth shooting them an email to check if they'll knock the 17% off for you.

US shops, on the other hand, go about it the other way by quoting an ex-tax price then adding it if you are in their state.

    Fun fact for the day!

    • Which bundle would be the best if you are looking to straight resell the games? and receive a cheap 3DS XL

    • But the 3DS XL looks so much better!

    • The 3D XL fits in my jeans pockets just fine. They aren't oversized pockets or anything either. If you're tossing up between the two and the ability to put the device in the pocket is a factor its probably worth trying to test one out given the larger form factor may not end up being an issue anyway. The standard will no doubt fit more comfortably however and its certainly easier to get the standard for a considerably lower price.

      • Build quality on the original was pretty poor imo. XL seems to be hardier and bigger screen brings the best out of many games. Also it always felt too cramped for my big hands.

Me too. The pixel density by today's standards is already pretty poor on the 3DS, but on the XL it's even worse. I'm not used to seeing handheld displays where the pixels and their grid are so clearly visible.

  • Very cheap with the games. The original 3DS design is not to my taste, but +1 for finding this.

  • Wonder if these are old stock with v4.5 firmware?
