A fine price for a decent printer.

  • awesome price, plus i know a friend who works at aus post, so another 20%. chaching!

    • You won't get double discount. I'd love to be corrected though.

  • i'll let you know tomorrow :)

  • This is a great find.

  • nice deal!

  • I got this printer (for $20 with the purchase of an iMac i think), It is decent but the quality is really in line with budget printers around $50. Actually the printing quality is even worse than my old Cannon printer which was $60. The most annoying problem is the software that is bundled with the printer, the scanning utility seriously cripples my use for this printer, it requires two scans to save it onto your computer, and there is no settings to configure it (1 for preview and 1 for actual). I wouldn't recommend this printer unless you definitely need a wireless printer. However, I do have to say that the wireless is quite convenient as I have a laptop. although I could always plug a cable printer the usb hub that is integrated with my laptop stand.

All in all, i wouldn't recommend this printer.

I can't comment on the print quality, but the two-stage scanning setup seems to be pretty standard in scanners. In fact I've never owned a scanner that didn't work like that.

      • The Cannon software in my old multifunction printer allowed for a 1 stage scan. I found it faster and more convenient to scan because sometimes i do need to scan a whole lot of documents HP's 2-stage scan setup seriously impairs my productivity.

  • IMHO I have had SO MANY PROBLEMS with all entry/medium level HP printers. The software is normally terrible. Driver problems are a given. Print quality questionable. I swore Id never go near one again. Good printing is importnat to me, very happy with my Canon MX850 (think they recently released a MX860 I think its an awsome option, especially since I saw it at officeworks for sub $250, a bargain, well worth the extra. I got it at a steal but still paid $120 more than its going for now.

  • Can anyone recommend a good wireless multifunction printer? Somewhere around $200 or less. Been searching on the web but too many options.

  • +1, can't believe post office's price can be this good.

  • I picked up the Lexmark X6675 Wireless from Aldi two weeks ago for $149- and have submitted a $50 cashback form. For $99, I'm really happy with it so far- it was a breeze to set up and the print quality is good.
