Watch out for the hiss on this one. I bought one a few months ago and returned it. There's a hum from the subwoofer when plugged into the mains (speaker set powered off), and a hiss from the satelite speakers when the speaker set is powered on especially when using the USB.
Read the reviews online, every one of them will make a note about a "slight hiss". I bought it thinking it was just a slight hiss but powered it up for less than 10 minutes and it irritated me more than I thought it would. Called Altec Lansing up and they say it's how the speakers are and suggested I return it. Don't seem to get that with any other model or with Logitech. I got a full refund fortunately. Bought a Z5500 and I'm all smiles. =)
Unbelievable value for a set that has a remote etc though. Buy it if you don't mind the hiss and turn it off at the mains when not using.
It seems like it supports analogue and apparently the hiss goes away. Though I'm not 100% sure
I thought it'd be fine with analogue too, which is why I bought it. Unfortunately it still had a hiss regardless. Was disappointed, would've been a fantastic set of speakers if not for the hiss.
