I've been meaning to get this book on Amazon for a while and it has been hovering around the $10 mark. I checked last night and it was at $2.99, an 81% discount.

I'm pretty confident it hasn't been this cheap before and I know that when I saw this price the bargain jumped out at me. I hope there's others who've been wanting to read this great book - because now is your moment!

EDIT: The $2.99 price is only available in the US Amazon store if your Kindle is registered to the US store. It's still $10.03 in the Australian store. :(

EDIT2: A few commenters seem to be seeing a different price. The $2.99 appears on the US Amazon store for me, but that's logged in with a US-based account. This may not work for the AUS store or for the US store under certain conditions.

  • Shows at around $10 for each (paperback and Kindle) edition for me.

    • I think this is because of the difference between the US and the AUS stores - I've updated the description to make it clearer the AUS store doesn't have a discount.

        Amazon.com, from US IP: $2.99
        Amazon.com, from Aussie IP: $9.06
        Amazon.com.au: $10.03

        That's what I see.

        • That's what I see as well. I just use Kindle Cloud Reader, not an actual Kindle. My account has always been on the US Store, not the Australian one. Don't know if it has changed but I still see only the higher price.

Literally just set up an account on OzBargain because this book is so good. I've been snagging sweet deals from this website but am compelled with this deal to let everyone how useful this book is.

I bought the hard copy of this book a few years ago and would still consider it one of the top 5 books I've ever read.

    • Agree 100%.

One of the more insightful reads of my lifetime…

This is a great book and worth the $2.99 price. Highly recommend for those that are on the fence.

The author uses a LOT of (IMHO) unneeded large multi-syllabic words to explain the concepts but other than an occasional re-read of a few sentences it's a great read.

Suspect I may get a legit version of it to replace my…er…'legal backup copy' I got from them usenets….

This is a terrific book, absolutely fascinating - though it's worth noting that several of the studies that are key to his thesis are under a cloud because multiple experiments have failed to replicate results. The whole "priming" concept is a very hot topic at the moment.

  • Doesn't seem to be working of me.
EDIT: Oh just realised I've got mine sent to Australia.

  • Think this one is over dudes. Just changed my kindle to be in the US and its still listed as $9-something

  • Shows "This title is not currently available for purchase" for me.

  • Not available at all for me.

You guys who recommend the book.. sell me on it.
