As per title, need advice from people who had been upgraded previously. Do I still need to purchase additional luggage?
Urgent!! Upgraded to premium flatbed by Optiontown; is the luggage upgraded too? Leaving tomorrow night!

I assumed so except that on the email from optiontown the terms are actually not very clear on it.
It's an upgrade to premium class. Airasia sees it as that.
I did it once but unfortunately prepaid for food & baggage on economy. So basically paid for nothing.

Doubtful. They basically make their money on non-refundable chances to get an upgrade.
Optiontown - no refunds. Yes baggage included in the upgrade if AirAsia. If you are flying AirAsia, person not going can apply for refunds of taxes for that passenger's ticket.

Yeah, you don't buy luggage if you're waiting for an option town upgrade becuase you don't get a refund on your normal air asia baggage (option town upgrade comes with luggage). Hencew hy it's annoying but you haveto buy luggage the day before if you dont' get an email with an upgrade..
silly but yeah, not too hard when you're departing from home since you'll have net.
