  It's Australian and organically grown. It's a GOOD price.
  
  If you're happy to eat the imported Chinese stuff, then this is probably not going to be a bargain for you. For those of us who are not happy to do so, it is.

    There ought to be a middle ground. In France the nicest local garlic goes for around 6 Euros/kg, less than A$10 - without the need to buy a whole kg at a time. And the French are not known for either compromising on food quality or being cheap…

      Yes, the need to buy a whole kg is a bit of a pain, but the easiest way around that is to find some people to share it with.
