i bought a similar el-cheapo hose from bunnings and the nozzle kept popping out of the end-fitting under pressure. the orange plastic used on the fittings is soft and wears after a couple of uses. and the hose was bursting all the time. if you leave the hose pressurised you will see the hose swelling around the end-fittings or in the middle of the hose as a pre-cursor to the hose bursting. i tried an exchange but it was the same. basically junk. don't waste your money
I had a similar issue. Solved it by turning the tap off when I was finished.
yeah, i very quickly learned to turn it off after use for fear of a possible extra $20 water bill from water flooding out all night.
anyway, i scored some discounted nylex hoses for $10 from bunnings and they have proven to be good so far.
All these made in china type garden hoses and fittings are only rated for 500kpa. If you live in an older house which doesn't have a pressure limiting device on the water supply, the static water pressure is going to be too high and somethings gonna blow. My water pressure is 1000kpa. Its pretty amazing when you think about it that they can manufacture them to such tight tolerances, that a little more than what they're designed for and BOOM they break
could be good for a backup hose , I guess the fittings could be dodgy but you get what you pay for right. thanks I'll check it out !!
I got one of These hoses from Big W a few years ago for $6. Fittings are rubbish But hose itself is good, I put Hoselink fittings on it and it's fine.
The fittings are stronger then the hose itself?…
I have to second that. The spray nozzle and the quickstop connector at the tap are terrible.
Thanks. Need another hose too. Normally the 15m ones at big w, masters, bunnings, reject shop are around. this price. So effectively get 15m for free.

Thanks OP. I purchased one from Merrylands store. The label on this product says 15m, but the website shows it as 30m ?
Then its actually 15m.

Good price, but it will resemble more of a hard peice of twisted pipe with 20 kinks in it if you leave it in the elements after a year :P
I avoid these cheap hoses now.

I've got one and it had it for more than a year. It still works well and is certainly better than I thought it would be for the price.
Good price, but a very poor quality hose if you intend to use it frequently. The plastic nozzle broke off in the 2nd instance, now i simple use the hose as a soaking hose.
Agree with other comments. Have bought this before and now had to bin it. Hose ages fast, then kinks and leaks. Nozzles don't fit well. Dont' waste your money.
Good for cutting bits off the end.
