    Tried purchasing on the .com.au and asked me about transfering my amazon.com over to .com.au. Decided to go with the first .com link, but just wondering what the implications are.

    What does everyone use? .com or .au, or is it worth transferring?

      OK for some reason I tried going via the amazon.com site and it's telling me there isn't a kindle linked to my amazon account? Fair enough - but I swear I had my kindle linked before because it used to always ask me to send to that kindle.

      However, I've always just done the 'transfer to computer' option so I have a computer copy, then I can just email it aruound and upload later.

      Have the rules/processes changed at amazon??

      Edit: Ok so i found the 'manage kindle' in my amazon account, and it's definitely there with past purchases. It appears when i get the failed page that it lists only certain kindles e.g. kindle fire on devices its available to, which doesnt' cover the bare bones basic kindle which is what i have??

      That said it doesn't appear you can just dl it to your comptuer without downloading the kindle app for pc, or ipad, android etc? Is this some ploy to get you to have those apps before you can download the eboook? very annoying if so :(
