Favourite Cheap-Moderate Priced Restaurants ?

Hey guys and girls,

Just wondering if I could get a list of recommended average priced restaurants without months advanced bookings required. I'm talking about places like:

Home - Thai restaurant in the city. Very nice food, a bit cramped and service is okay but my boyfriend and I like the quality of the food and mains are around $10-20.

Kansai - Wynyard - all you can eat sushi. I love their dragon rolls. They to die for. The other food are great too. $30 for all you can eat, excluding sashimi.

Oiden - Town Hall - mains are $4-10 for a bowl of teriyaki chicken. Great food on the go when you're rushed and want a quick feed. The marinade for the teriyaki chicken is great. I wish they cooked it a bit more, one of my friends got food poisoning there.

That's all from the top of my head. I was looking for advice and places to eat around Western, South Western Sydney.

  • +1 to oiden.

The new udon place at chatswood is pretty good, as is Chatswood bbq kitchen (opposite the udon place). Dunno if you would consider it cheap though.

  • You should probably put 'in Sydney' in the title.

One of my long-time favourites (which has stayed loyal to it's ideology even after it became famous) is Gumshara Ramen in the Eating World Food Court, Haymarket (on Dixon St). $10.50 for a reasonably sized bowl of super-thick and rich Tonkotsu Ramen, and plenty of other options like Pork spare rib and fish ramen.

  • Don Don in Melbourne for $6.90 japenese curry chicken

PappaRich - meals for about $13
