Tomb Raider is one game that I'd happily pay full price for! You're crazy is you don't pick it up at this price!

  • +3

I can't believe this game is $5 already!! Some 5 year old games haven't hit that low price yet. And it's not like it was a crappy game; it was one of the best games of the year!

    • Games which are bundled with graphics cards usually drop that fast regardless of how good they are.

E.g. Sleeping Dogs, Bioshock Infinite, Batman AO, etc.

      • +3

Ah good times, I bought a GPU that came with Bioshock + Tomb Raider, promptly sold them for $50 each. now I can buy both for $15 total :D

single player games have a one year life expectancy rate.

      • Tomb Raider has multiplayer too (worst decision ever).

      • single player games have a one year life expectancy rate.

More like gamer's attention spans have a 30-minute window of opportunity during which a certain threshold of dudebro-tactical-black-ops-gun-porn imagery has to be reached for them to continue playing until completion.

Such a good game, just buy it.

  • +2

Would definitely buy Tomb Raider, Sleeping Dogs & Hitman Absolution if I didn't already have them. I fear though for someone who paid $5 for each game might not give it the attention it deserves

  • Looks like I can only buy Tomb Raider "survivor edition" or GOTY (all DLC but no Survicor extras). No cheap way to get both…?

    • +1

Buy the Survivor version $6.24 + the DLC pack $4.99? What are the benefits of the Survivor version?

      • +1

        From Steam store page:

        Survival Edition includes:

        • Digital 32-page mini art book compiled by TOMB RAIDER’S Art Director Brian Horton

        • 10 downloadable tracks from TOMB RAIDER’s atmospheric soundtrack

        • Digital double sided map of the game’s mysterious island setting and the iconic cover image

        • Digital comic - Tomb Raider: The Beginning

        • "Guerilla Skin" in-game outfit

        • Three in-game weapons from "Hitman: Absolution" for use in "Tomb Raider": The Silverballer, Agency SPS 12, and HX AP-15

… seems these are not available seperately, so everyone buying the GOTY will actually miss out. A bit deceptive.

Come on, guys, how hard is it to sell us a complete version? Still you're right, I'll just buy the Survivors Edition + DLC pack, it's only $11.23…

        • +1

Tomb Raider GotY = 22 items
Tomb Raider DLC pack = 26 items

No matter which way you look at it Tomb Raider GotY is not the complete package.

I would recommend the GOTY version because it is a complete package of the Tomb Raider 2013.

    • Nope, it doesn't include the Survivor's Edition extras apparently.

Damn it went up to 40% off… Just missed it

    • +1

Hey, I missed it too and I'm the OP. I couldn't decide if I should buy the base game, the Survial + DLC, or get the definitive edition on the PS4(I would be more likely to actually play it on the PS4). Then I thought "I have it on PS3, sure Lara's hair looks like a plastic mop, do I really need to buy it again just to see it flitter majestically in the wind?". The answer is "of course".

Don't worry there will always be a next time, and it might be even cheaper :)

  • Single player have one year life? I still play classic Splinter Cell every year.

Just added to the Square Enix sale is Thief, not sure if it's worth a post of it's own.

    Game Standalone (current/lowest) Bundle (current/lowest)
    Thief (2014) $33.34 / $29.33 N/A
    Thief Collection N/A $4.74 / $3.79

I should add that these lowest prices are from the major/common game stores, there are random unknown places that have sold them cheaper.
