Actually I saw them for the same price last weekend but didn't post the deal because they only had a couple of cartons. This weekend past they were stacked floor to ceiling

Costco has 24 330ml cans for $30 - Belgium import!

        Proof?

people so quick to call bullshit these days. I was at the Ringwood store 2 days ago and they were $29.99 for 24x 330ml cans. And yes, its the genuine Belgium imported stuff.

          proof = here. http://i.imgur.com/We2vbcR.jpg

Thanks pizzin for letting us know. No wonder some people stop posting bargains with people like that around

        • Thanks. So you had some frankfurts and nice cold beer..cheers

Just as the OP has done by posting the deal, I agree this is worthy of a vote :)

      • +1

So + the deal but you haven't +ed my comment which would help others out? Ah god I love hypocrisy!

        • +1

I'm not from Vic or WA but here, have a +1 as well. WAers would appreciate your post, I'm sure.

  • Not just Doncaster East - same prices at all my local Dan's as well - Boronia area.

  • +5

Yes. Woolworths parallel import their own stocks of Stella and Becks. It often sits at a lower price point than the locally brewed stuff, and is well worth it. I too picked some up from the Doncaster East store (fortunately I didn't run into JV, but it's only a matter of time…)

    • What you mean by fortunately? Does jv have the habit of snatching other people's cartons and doing a runner?

      • +2

No he seems like a pretty swell guy

  • Seems to be available in a few stores in WA too. Although the OP has to be updated, it's not $39.95 delivered, it's $39.90 + delivery (which is $7 unless you use the free delivery plus cheap bottle of wine trick).

I'm not sure why whenever these sorts of deals are posted that there seems to be confusion with that. Just weird in this case that the pickup price is cheaper than the 'online delivery' price.

Always looking to stock up on ANY cheap beer that come this way. Thanks OP

    • Appropriate username, then :)

Couple of weeks back I have bought three cartons from Hoppers crossing DM at $35 each, and they had plenty of them.
And sorry I did put that up here. I was busy drinking.

Will get few more. Thanks OP.

These beers are referred to as "Wife beaters" in UK pubs.

  • Any word on if this extends to other states?

    • Website shows store pricing. Maybe try…?

I bought a carton of the 330ml bottles a few weeks ago from Dan Murphys in Welland (SA) for $35.90 a case, and a carton of the 500ml cans for $45. Thought it was suspiciously cheap at the time, but because there was no fanfare surrounding it, I didn't think to post the deal on OzBargain. I will know not to make such silly assumptions in the future, and trust my OzBargain sense!

EDIT - looks like its still $42.95 in Glenunga, SA :(

    • IIRC the cans are made in Belgium? The UK made bottles come in a dull white carton, whereas the Belgian ones are regular colour?

  • That's just over the freeway from me haha, should go now

  • I've had 4 versions of stella so far - china, Belgium, uk, Australia. They all taste different, Original is always the best!

  • Geez, seems to be a few of us in and around Donny East.
It is a decent price. But every time I see a Stella, I remember the advert they ran in the 1980s; "Stella Artois. Reassuringly expensive" …

Yep, better get rid of all the vitamin and chemist deals as well - damn them legal drug dealers!!!

Fair enough. Why don't you move to Riyadh or Jeddah: Clear bastions of democracy and free will.

    • I believe people on OzB are responsible enough to drink responsibly, whether its a bargain or not!

      • But not responsible enough to gamble apparently, yet credit card deals are allowed.

    • Practice with you preach. Why don't you promise never to shop at Coles, Woolies or Aldis again.

  • If you have an AMEX, use it to get $5 off via this deal
