Another round of statement credits offer by AMEX. Not sure these offers include the bank issued AMEX as I logged on to my AMEX issued card account to save the offer from the offer tabs.

  1. Spend $10 at iTunes by 30 April 2014 and get back $10 statement credits (Limit first 10,000)

  2. Spend $15 or more at Dan Murphy's by 30 April 2014 and get $5 statement credits (Limit first 20,000)

  3. Enrol your saved card with TELSTRA DIRECT DEBIT and pay your bill in one transaction and receive $50 statement credit by 31 May 2014 (Limit first 2,000)

      Unfortunately, I don't think you can – I too have this issue…

      EDIT: This may be a workaround!:

      Certain things such as gift cards can not be purchased with gift cards and will get charged to the credit card.

        With gift card purchases, the AMEX T&C states you cannot buy itune cards with the $10 credit

      You can send a $10 gift to yourself via iTunes. It is not a gift card per se, the funds will be deducted from your credit card and added to your balance. Just tried and it worked - received a confirmation email from Amex.

        So I login to my iTunes acc making sure Amex card is the card linked to my account.
        Then gift myself $10
        Then I should get conformation from Amex and $10 credit

        When I clicked on offer and saved it to my Amex it says offer saved to my Amex iphone app
        Does That means confirmed I am in those 2000 or 20000 first users?

          Yes, it does. If it saved, then you are good to go, you can send a gift to yourself.

      I had credit balance in my iTunes account, and I assigned amex to my iTunes account.
      then bought $10 (emailed to myself iTunes email ID)
      It was deducted from Amex not iTunes balance.
      Now gotta wait for credit from Amex

    Is there a way to know if say for the good guys , if you spend the credit you'll get the $50 statement credit? Like, will they tell you if they've met the person quota? It would suck to purposely buy something only to tell you a month later that you didn't make the cut (in which case I wouldn't buy to begin with).

      i think as long as you've saved the offer after logging into your amex account, you're already considered as eligible for the appropriate offer/discount. the offer would not have appeared for you to save in the first place had the quota run out

    I have the Qantas American Express Discovery Card and no offers show up. First time this has happened. I emailed them and got this response. A bit disappointing.

      Yes, that's the same card i have. Sorry to hear that the process appears to be a bit arbitrary and that non-committal response from them is no help at all. AMEX customer service with the card has been outstanding so far, especially when it comes to making claims so i am bit surprised they didn't go out of their way to post a few promotions for your effort.

        Same experience - excellent customer service. It does make me curious what algorithms they must be using to exclude my card though. Maybe I've hit a limit on previous redemptions?

          I would imagine that if there's a limit to the number of promos a card can be tagged to, they would have a warning or note somewhere in the offers section. Hopefully Amex will change/ fix whatever's going on and provide a bit more consistency.

    i got my tgg amex cr to my ac 3 days later and applied for tgg $40 bonus store credit only at selected stores online. anyone know if you reg your amex and top up a prepaid optus or telstra sim will u get the amex cr? i called up amexs they said ther's no min spend to get the $50 cr. i am tempted to sign up to a BYO 1 month plan to get the $50 and then cancel it ?

      You can't 'transfer' iTunes credit. However, you can buy iTunes credit for someone else.
      So using this promotion, people with the deal can buy it for someone else and receive the $10 Amex statement credit.
