Not bad this week, better good things on sale rather than the junk food they normally have.

The Asian supermarkets have the best coconut juice i've tasted. It comes frozen i a clear plastic bag, AROY-D brand, 280 grams labeled FROZEN YOUNG COCONUT JUICE. I suspect its the same one they serve at all the Asian restaurants as it taste the same.
      $1 all day every day.

      • Will have to try this. Normally I just grab the Nudie or whatever's on special.

However… none of these can compare to drinking coconut water from young "King" Coconuts.. they're a different variety and the water is clearer and much nicer.

Yipee coconut water on special. Great price.

  • I find the 10kg of rice is too much for me to use before it goes off, so I really like sales on smaller bags of rice. Looks like it's time to stock up on muesli bars too!

      Rice goes off?

    • how long do you keep ti for? and do you keep it in water or soemthing..
      keep it in dry place..

      • I've had some Sunrice medium grain white rice from over 2 half price deals ago (over a year?). I've kept it in it's plastic bag, not a sealed container, and it gets fairly warm in my kitchen from the sun. I know it's my fault for not putting it in a sealed drum, but I honestly don't have room for a rice bin in my kitchen. I've never had rice go stale on me before.

It started to smell stale, kind of like old breakfast cereal, and this smell stays with it through multiple rinses and cooking. Now I try to only use it in fried rice, paella or risotto to mask the smell.

  • Tried Cocobella and didn't like it. :( I prefer Nudie.
