Saw this price for the Asus motherboard and is a whole $27 cheaper than its nearest competitor.

  This motherboard is in direct competition to these Haswell motherboards, the Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H and MSI Z87-G45 Gaming which both retail for around the $195 mark. I am in the process of building my new gaming computer and according to online reviews the Asus Z87-A cannot match the MSI Z87-G45 Gaming in achieving consistent over clock speeds up to 4.7 GHz but is generally stable up to 4.6 GHz.
