      Well I just called them and found that they are based in Australia (sydney) the suits are made in India and they are half-canvased suits (as expected for this price to be fair)

      They seem a like a cheaper indochino (not that there's anything wrong with that) I don't really see much difference in what they offer or how they operate.

      I wish they had a slightly different business model where they have a dedicated/travelling tailor in each city that will perform proper measuring and a more personalized service to their customers. I have an odd body shape where my shoulders are too wide compared to my waist so whenever I buy something from indochino type shops, I end up with weird looking lapels/pocket placement.

      Would be nice if this shop had a good tailor that could identify these problems and ask their factory/tailors in India to create a suit accordingly, I mean I would be happy to pay a bit of a premium for something like that

        Thanks for your call. We understand that measuring yourself is not the easiest thing and we have put in a few measures in place to ensure that we get the right measurements (such as video instructions with a voice over and body profiling), and even if there is a problem our perfect fit guarantee will cover for your alterations up to $75 or Remake/Return.

        We have had a few customers with odd body shapes, specially with wide shoulders and a smaller waist and we have been able to get the fit perfect the first time. I understand that you might have had a bad experience with other online made-to-measure retailers but I'd suggest you to give us a try and send across a few pictures along with your order for our tailors to have a look at. If there is anything wrong with the fit we'll happily remake it for you or make a complete refund.

  I received my suit from this deal last night so I thought I would write a review.

  • Order Process: Painless. Pick the suit out and then work your way through the many, many measurement options (I think there are 16 measurements to fill out).
    I did this late at night and managed to screw up a lot of the measurements.
    The next day after submitting these incorrect measurements I received an email reply letting me know that I must have done something wrong as the measurements were totally screwed up. Redid them and replied with correct measurements.

  • Communication: Received initial email from PayPal confirming order, but not from Buttons & Threads. Then received an email letting me know I had screwed up measurements within 24 hours - this was the first confirmation from Button & Threads.

  Next email came 20 days later letting me know that:
  "We were about to dispatch your suit today but we realised that we didn’t have your complete account information. It seems that PayPal hasn’t provided us with a contact number in case the courier company wants to contact you. Could you please provide your phone number and please confirm that this is the shipping address that you have provided".

  Final follow up email received asking for me to review suit on their website and FB.

  • Time: 7th April - Initial order date
    8th April - Email received letting me know I had put incorrect measurements in.
    9th April - Correct measurements provided by me.
    29th April - Above email received asking to confirm phone no. and address.
    29th April - Confirmed phone and address details
    7th May - Suit received.

  I'll consider the 9th of April the submission date, meaning 29 days from order to delivery.

  • Quality: Suit is well made. I chose the slim fit build and the suit matches my selection. Good material aside from the pants material which is a bit thin. Shoulders are a little scrunched due to filling (doesn't sit flat and it doesn't appear to be a sizing issue).

  Overall: Considering I paid about $380 I'm happy. Suit fits fine and for next time I know my measurements, making it an easy way to get more suits made.
