Comes up as $99 at Williams Landing. Could use BWS15 to bing it down even more though

    • Yep $99 for 5000 too.

    • I thought BWS15 expired yesterday? Also no "Click n Collect" in Chullora NSW. Delivery is $26.95!! No deal.

I have this one and its GREAT! After a few of the cheapies gave up within the first month, a mate said to try this one. It is really powerful and very well made, I could not recommend it more! I have compared the cheaper brands and even at $99 this really is a bargain, so at $78 this is ridiculously good. SNAP EM UP!

  • BWS15 promo code did expire yesterday.
Still a bargain I think even without 15% off.
Going to buy one. Thanks OP.

  • If I'm not mistaken, Husqvarna belongs to BMW?

      Pretty sure you are mistaken.

Husqvarna Motorcycles are part of the BMW Group:
        http://www.bmwblog.com/2012/04/01/a-company-profile-husqvarn…

On their timeline, they had a winning bike in 1982:
        http://www.husqvarna.com/au/support/about-husqvarna/four-cen…

and the motorcycle division was sold off in 1986

        • But wait. There's more ……

On 31 January 2013 BMW Group announced that Pierer Industrie AG has bought full stake in Husqvarna AG for an undisclosed amount. The company is headed by Stefan Pierer, current CEO of KTM-Sportmotorcycle AG. On 1 October 2013, Husqvarna AG was renamed to Husqvarna Sportmotorcycle GmbH. It was announced that the company will be based at Mattighofen in Austria where production started on 11 October 2013.

    • Point? BMW certainly don't have the best record for quality and longevity in the automobile game. Consistently high on new car issue lists. Means nothing.

Looks a lot like the Talon one I bought a couple of years ago. Talon is also made by Husqvarna. Check out the Talon ones here http://www.talontools.com.au/pages/petrol_line_trimmers.htm and tell me what you think?

What that really means is that Husqvarna is badging products that come out of China. It's not a comment on the quality of products from China - there's lots of good quality products coming out of China - it's moreso that non-Husqvarna branded products are made to a price point. So rather than risk damaging the primary brand, they slap on another name.

For what it's worth, my Talon trimmer is a POS. The line head exploded the first time I used it, the fuel line sheared off requiring replacing the second time I used it and the kill switch stopped working within a couple of months. So to me, 'made by Husqvarna' says, 'if they're not willing to put their name to it, don't buy it'. Your mileage may vary. You might get lucky. That's the risk you take when you buy cheap gear.

    • My talon is a beast

The head did shit itself after a couple of years but I just replaced it with a little juey and the thing can't be stopped. I've had it 8yrs now and never serviced it or replaced the spark plug.

Luck of the draw I guess.

      • My Talon bought at Bunnings has fallen failed.
Motor fine? End won't stay tight. Spring broke on the pull cord.

  • Husqvarna bought Partner/Dimas about 10 years ago, one of my customers was a storeman at the Partner/Dimas adelaide branch, he told me everything that goes out has at least 300% markup on it.

    • It's probably the same with all brands.

  • Hello Guys,

I am also looking for trimmer and hedger and noticed OP posted another deal here:
    Wesco 18v Li-ion Garden 3 IN 1 Combo Pack - WS18GLK - Now $139.00 Save $60.00 @ Masters (In store)
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/139528

Wondering if I should go for that combo? Any thoughts?

    • 18v trimmers aren't very good at all. 36v or don't bother with battery.

  • not in vic…bullshit

  • This is not made by husqvana.

Still. Good price though. 30cc 43cm cut and full crank engine are features normally outside this price by a long shot.

  • I bought one of these on the weekend for $66 using the BWS15 coupon. It's a great line trimmer for the price. Partner along with a lot of other brands are owned by Husqvana AB and is made in China.
    http://husqvarnagroup.com/en/node/813

Husqvana were also owned by Electrolux at one point.

    • Damn, you did well there ($66)
