after the last lot of your power banks, are these going to be the same problem? will these turn out to be overstated as well?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/136176?page=2#comment-1927…

if your so sure of there quality this time maybe you should be sending these out as replacements for the 4000mah banks that were only 3400mah?

edit: i should state what i wanted with your 4000mah was a smaller bank than my 12000mah that i already owned if i only wanted a single recharge. 4000mah would have given me almost perfectly full charge but the 3400 it actually is falls quite short

    • +4

      money back quality guarantee.

you should also state that to get the money back guarantee you have to send the battery back to you, which is illegal to do in australia, meaning you cant actually get your money back without breaking the law…

Australia Post can't accept lithium batteries or devices containing them for mailing overseas or for domestic air carriage. These can only be transported within Australia by road transport.

      http://auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/dangerous-and-prohibited-…

seems its not even legal for us to send via our postal service? i had heard they will allow them into but not out of the country? anyone have any first hand knowledge of any of this they care to share?

      edit:

I found out when I had to return a faulty unit to minidisc. Australia Post wouldn't touch it and said I had to find a courier company willing to deliver it via road freight.

Nosdan thanks for your questions, these power banks have been opened and tested at the capacity of 6,000 mAh. After the 4000mAh one had its mAh wrongly stated we thought to check all our other Echine products. This model has been opened up and battery codes verified.
As per our recall notice; we offer a refund or discount on the recalled power bank you mentioned. You are welcome to spend your refund on this 6000mAh model it will more then charge your device once.
Thanks again for your feedback and business.

        we offer a refund

except we have to send the 4000mah one back to you, which is illegal to do in australia (you can not post lipo batteries overseas from australia) as ive already posted in the 4000mah page

        http://auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/dangerous-and-prohibited-…

so i can not get a refund on the recalled bank?

        • -1

Just wondering, but what are they supposed to do with any product that contains a lithium battery that someone wants to claim warranty for?

It's not their fault that Australia Post has banned lithium batteries in the post. I don't know any companies who would offer a refund without the goods being returned.

        • +4

It is however their fault that the product was not as described.

        • I still don't know any retailers who will send you out a replacement item without sending the other item back.

        • Modokun on on 11 April at 12:46
Okay, or instead of negging me, you could answer a genuine question?
How is somebody supposed to return a product with a lithium battery to any online retailer?

if its an australian company you can send it via any road freight.
when it goes into a plane to get shipped to/from OS its the responsibility and no doubt legal/financial responsibility of the sending party. if the battery aus post sends out of the country thats at fault for causing a mid air fire there would be hell to pay. as far as i can see this is the reason why they let them come into the country via air but will not shoulder the responsibility of sending them. there could be millions if not billions at stake if they end up getting sued etc.

How many retailers selling electrical products do you know who will send you a replacement product without returning their faulty product?

actually in my experience most asian retailers give very little friction when ive been sent a faulty/wrong/lost package. banggood has done this for me on several occasions in the past with little resistance and i have (until the last deal) been extremely happy with there service.

It's not their fault that Australia Post has banned lithium batteries in the post

in this case it is very much there fault. if they had have sold it as a 3400mah which is what it actually is i wouldnt have bought it. i was hesitant to even buy it at 4000mah caus its the very minimum for my needs, but with the good service i have received in the past as well as the promise if a "money back guarantee" of capacity i felt it was worth it, unfortunately it isnt caus it seems the guarantee they offer is worthless to us.

        • It's their fault that they had a fault in the product being delivered, on that we agree. it is not their fault that Australia Post has banned lithium batteries. They do have a money back guarantee, but our postal service is the one that makes it impossible. Its quite a different situation to saying they have no returns policy.

Bought a lot of items from China over the years, only had one faulty product and the company refused to refund, even if I did send the item back.

Banggood seem to have done pretty well by the OzB community since they started posting. I would hate to see them victimised over one bad deal because one user wants to build up his internet point score. Would be better off for everyone if he did it by posting some useful deals for once.

        • and there it is, the proof that i shouldnt have wasted time explaining things to a moron. congratulations now get back under that rock you came from

        • In my experience, there are sellers who give a credit, refund, or replacement, WITHOUT insisting on a return of the original item.

          AMAZON for example.

        • @A3A yea all i have had to in the past from several OS retailers was to send some proof, pic or vid etc.

in this case all the testing myself and foundit did i would have hoped would have also been enough.

        • in this case all the testing myself and foundit did i (sic) would have hoped would have also been enough.

In my case I had to return the device (an iPhone 5/5s/5c Battery case) by registered post at my cost. However, the seller has not collected it from their Post Office. PayPal tell me that this does not matter, and that I will still receive a refund in due time.

nope… the disappointment is all mine……. pretty sure none of it is theres…. :P

        • ->A3Australia

It's not "their". The intended word was "the" :P

  • Is this powerbank support pass-through charging (can be charged while charging other devices)?

  • Rep.

It is a very good price for a 6000mAh battery pack inc. delivery.

I know about the problems with Chinese supplied battery packs. The only way to prove the capacity is to open the device and check the model/part numbers of the battery packs inside.

    As regards the previous offer.
Would you please confirm that purchasers of the 4000mAh packs can obtain a credit WITHOUT returning the packs?

    • +2

The only way to prove the capacity is to open the device and check the model/part numbers of the battery packs inside.

actually, that isnt a good way to check. many things are copied to look exactly like the originals in china. it takes less than cents to stamp something or make it "look" like a credible item.

admittedly, i did find out the previous issue with the 4000mah pack by pulling apart (destroying) mine. http://i.imgur.com/WO6eHDo.jpg so even if i could send mine back…… im not sure they would accept it caus its "damaged"

      • actually, that isnt a good way to check
i did find out the previous issue with the 4000mah pack by pulling apart (destroying) mine.

So, it IS a good way to check.

In my case I could tell that something was 'wrong', because the supposedly 2800mAh battery case was not working as well as a 2200mAh battery case. Opening the case (without damaging the device) revealed a 1650mAh battery.

many things are copied to look exactly like the originals in china. it takes less than cents to stamp something or make it "look" like a credible item.

Fortunately they tend to do this to the exterior and forget about the interior/contents.

  • Never mind

Offer 2 free ones this power bank for the user to check and test it,drop me PM.

    • +2

      wait… what?

i am the one that destroyed mine to show up the issue with your 4000mah bank causing you to "recall" them? along with the work that foundit also put in…. if anyone should be asked to test these it should at least be us 2?

you still have not answered my previous post about it being illegal to send my faulty bank back? which is the only way to get my refund?

      • -1

You are one of the winners of that deal, you bought one and break it,and then you won one for free, email me or pm,we will refund you, then you can keep two power banks totally for free,if you do not like it,do not keep them, break or throw always two power banks.

I think it's not good to talk about the last deal issues in the current deal.

        • +2

I think it's not good to talk about the last deal issues in the current deal.

I think that it is a good thing to do if it is relevant to the current deal.

        • +4

you bought one and break it

i bought one and broke it to confirm the suspicion of other OzB users. i was willing to sacrifice my own bank in the hope it would help the rest of this community. i have also constantly spoken out to anyone who had said anything bad about you in many different "deals" you have posted to support you and tell people about the great service i have received in the past, including the easy warranty claims i have got in the past.

up until now i have been REALLY happy with your service. you have gone way above what i expected. sadly this time you have let this community down and seem to have not wanted to accept responsibility.

        • +2

in fact…. unless your willing to give the same thing to every other OzB member as your offering me…… i refuse your offer… i never wanted to be singled out for any special treatment for the efforts i put into comments, support and testing i gave you. i was simply being honest about the "great" service you had shown me in the past. i still stand by the fact (and will happy tell everyone every single good thing you did) with previous issues ive had.

the reason i destroyed my power bank was in an effort to help this community…. i am offended by your accusations…

I'm done with Eachine and banggood due to previous 4000mha deal. I wanted a couple more portable batteries for camping and travels. I know banggood are offering a 20% refund, but for me that just doesn't cut it. And for Eachine, they are just another company making up battery capacity statistics using a random number generator. If all these companies could get it through their thick heads then they would build instant repeat business once consumers knew what was inside was real.

    • +1

I take back my comments re banggood. They have done the right thing and refunded. Banggood have just moved to the top of my supplier list. Great job banggood. I am very impressed with banggood.

  • +1

ive revoked my neg from this deal because it seems that the rep has finally come to there their (happy now A3Australia?) senses and is now standing by they're the guarantee they offered in the past deal.
