That Redmi 15 for $229 is a pretty insane price no?

    • +2

Yup really good value for a phone on the cheap given the good specs. You may want to consider spending the extra $50 (after $20 off coupon) and getting the 8GB/256GB variant.

Not support Esim, no dual Sim either:(

        • It's dual SIM or more specifically hybrid Sim, so SIM1+2 or SIM1+microSD. Just use a physical eSIM adapter.

6.9 inches is way too big though!

        my g75* is 6.78 :(

        • +1

yeah, the huge screen and huge battery make it too heavy :(

    • Similar specs to the Motorola Moto G85, which is also a similar price.

      • +1

        Moto G85 has esim though

      • How does it rank to a G84?

  • Do their powerbanks come with updated CCC (3C) certification?

    • Not currently. I know future Xiaomi power banks are going to have it.

Any thoughts on the robot vac?

    • +2

Keen to know as well. Not familiar with xiaomi's offerings.

      • Xiaomi use to do good for its time robo vacuums 10 years ago. They were quite popular back then.

    • I don't have experience with Xiaomi bots but reviews for the X20+ seem positive, with the most notable downside being the lack of onboard water tank. The Dreame L10S Ultra for $599 or $649 with accessories pack might be the closest point of comparison and seems a bit more feature-rich at first glance, but I don't have any experience with Dreame either so can't judge.

Xiaomi gearing up to sell cars in Australia.

Well, good luck to first buyers.

Were not ready for auto pilot on any vehicle 😂 - give it sometime. We need some t-800s manning vehicles 👍

have a look at all the recalls and every brand affected and this is just australia
        https://www.vehiclerecalls.gov.au/

      • +4

Yeah, thankfully no other car manufactuter has ever had a recall before….

      • It's just car software(firmware) update.
The result of my research is that in China, updating car software must be clearly declared a "recall", the manufacturer can NOT just upgrade secretly.

    • I very much hope so.

  • +2

Good to see xiaomi launch officially though,

Hopefully better software and mobile support comes too.

  • the 212w powerbank is showing up as $129 instead

    • +1

      Deal starts in 10 days.

So between now and then, go to the launch page and collect the $10 coupon. Then in 10 days you can buy it for $119.

  • +1

But damn that’s a great deal for the robot vacum!

    • that was always the case - global vs china ROM.

  • To people looking at the Xiaomi's page for the Redmi Note 14, there's an even better deal right now on Amazon for the Pro 4g version Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro 8 GB RAM 256 GB 6.67 Inch $325.87(Was $419.57) @ Amazon. Xiaomi's official page doesn't even have the Pro 4g.

  • Any announcements for their cars?

  • That robot vac looks very tempting.

  • Damn. The Redmi 15 is good value compared to the CMF nothing 2 pro. :/
