Pay with PayPal for $100 off Any Virgin International Flight thru Jetabroad

530

This is a genuine offer. I've tested this across a heap of international fares directly from the Virgin website, and Jetabroad beats each one by around $80 when paying with Paypal. Why $80 and not $100, you ask? Well, the Jetabroad prices include ALL taxes and ALL credit card fees - there's nothing more to pay, which makes this a great deal.

Hi Stemcell. Just checked, and you're actually wrong.

On the dates you specified, Virgin direct is $1835, not including CC fees.

With Jetabroad, it's $1761 inclusive of CC fees. You need to subtract another $50 from the quoted fare for Paypal discount!

The prices above were a direct copy of Jetabroad quote at the time of posting, so the price has obviously dropped! .My post above was accurate at the time of writing whether you and your mates like it or not.

I did not have to pay a credit charge with virgin.

        • Not sure what you mean stemcell. I posted my response 8 minutes after your comment. Are you saying they dropped in that time? And which mates are you referring to?

        • -1

The price fluctuates, try it now if you can be bothered.

  • Where was this deal last week when I had to buy international flights :(

Probably worth highlighting that the second $50 is only for the first 200 flight bookings.

    • I doubt there will be a 200 take up on the offer, but I've just added the T&C to the post. Thanks :)

had a fair for $586 before i checkout and the $636… WDF where did the extra $$$ come from!

    • I think you need a holiday. Your comment makes no sense.

      • i get $586 and the click ' Select and Continue' my fair has jumped to $636 ' FINAL PRICE'… What extra fees or taxes am i paying? mind you its Virgin flying out and Fiji Airways comming back… hence the $50 via paypal cancels out anyways…

        • You're obviously doing something wrong. Did you tick Virgin only in the 'filter by airline' box? Whatever quote you get as it's calculating, is your final price. Nothing will be added.

        • done and done … its just the way this cookie crumbles

        • I've tried it with about 10 different fares, and all work just fine. If you give me the exact dates and cities, I'll test it for you at this end.

then select 2nd bullet point for flight out

          checkout…

Here you go. Don't forget to take another $50 off the price for PayPal. I think the issue with your selection is that both legs of your flights aren't with Virgin!

          Please retract your -ve vote.

        • The PayPal Cashback offer is valid only on Virgin Australia international flight booking departing from Australia.

from my link try a full virgin flight same thing…

I think the assumption made here is that you'll book a return fare with Virgin departing Australia. Anyway, I think I've wasted enough breath on this discussion, and I have more deals to find rather than waste my time with trivial matters like these. Have a nice evening.

I just tested it, and Sydney to Tonga in Virgins sale period $507 less $50 rebate using Paypal. Pretty damned good!

  • I'm getting a lot cheaper on Hipmunk (albeit in USD but converted, still $400 cheaper) than Jetabroad. June 24th to Jul 24th Syd - LAX is 1970 USD on Hipmunk and over 2600 on Jetabroad!

It should be noted that credit card travel insurance will probably not cover you if you have paid using with paypal rather than directly through the cc.

    • If only paypal accepted credit card payments aye ;)

    • +2

      Definately worth highlighting.

Both my credit cards will not include the extra travel insurance if I book my travel through PayPal. Organising extra insurance will often cost more than you'd save.

Just be aware when dealing with Jetabroad, that making any changes to your itinerary can be like pulling teeth…painful, time consuming & expensive.

I just had to shift a date due to a conference scheduling stuff-up, Virgin staff told me that they would have made the changes for stuff-all (~$35 all up), but it had to be done through Jetabroad, so not only did they add on an extra $100 for each change, but it also took days of Monty Python-esque emails to do so…never again!

    • Great feedback. Thanks :)

    • I noticed this with many things in life. Any changes and or options always cost you dearly.

    • Basically with airline ticket bookings, I just assume that I am locked-in, and I live my life accordingly. If I have to change or cancel, I consider it a bonus if I haven't lost the full cost.
