If you are looking for best prices on games check out your local Good Guys store. Some are doing 50% off games. I have mentioned 2 here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/141095 but people have been able to get deals at other stores too.

Last time I tried to purchase the G710+ from DSE at this price they sent me an email saying the product was discontinued (a few months after it was released?) and it took me over 5 weeks to get a refund through paypal.

The deals aren't bad, too bad about where they're from.

  • Are the discounts applied already? Wonder what their RRP for the G400S is… listed at the 40% of section lol

G710 price is nothing that special. For an extra 9 bucks logitechshop will deliver it. http://m.logitechshop.com.au//logitech-g710-mechanical-gamin…

  • Most of the prices don't seem too great considering they're 40% off on some of them. Or haven't the discounts applied yet? G500 is $53 (40% off), its $45 at MSY. G19 $154.80??? 40% off? $99 on static ice. Logitech Extreme 3D Joystick $35.99. Static ice price normal is $35. G700 $89.99…$79 on static ice.

    • G500"S" is $60 at MSY, so it is cheaper than MSY
Also G700s the $79 on static ice doesn't include shipping on their prices, which is $30 shipping.

  • The prices for the Razer peripherals seem pretty decent.

I checked them against StaticICE and the Ouroboros, Taipan, Naga (mice) and Tiamat headset are $10-20 dollars cheaper than the next competitor.
The DeathAdder is the same as the lowest competitor prices on StaticICE.

The Logitech hardware on the other hand is either over-priced or at the average Australian retail price.

I hesitate to upvote this though mainly because DSE will not have stock of most of the stuff people want, as has been the case historically.

  • Is the 'Razer Carcharias Gaming Headset' any good?

VERY comfortable, barely know they are there (although your head may be different). Open, over ear style, lets sound in (nagging will get through), but at a decent listening volume does not let sound out. Also lets your ears breathe. Great sound in BF4. Comes with an array of different adapters and is USB powered. Dunno if it's just my super hearing (I can hear a cotton ball touch a piece of felt) but all the powered headsets I've tried seem to have a very faint hum when there is no other sound. These do that too. But as soon as there is sound, you can't hear any hum. I'm not rough on my gear so they would last me for ages, others may break them, I would not try sitting on them, they don't look strong enough for that. Hope that helps!

No Stock! Always it's the same, No Stock!

Not only do they never have stock, since they were bought out a couple of years ago I have no end of trouble with the company regarding warranty on items.

I want to +vote, but after a few quick checks I see their discounted prices match (or closely match) other stores standard prices.

After years of been a loyal DSE customer, I can honestly admit I will never shop there again without it been my absolutely last choice.
