Like the price is important or something ;)

It wasn't there for about 20 seconds, you're quick!

Post the deals first, then worry about little details like price, description etc.

Otherwise if you take to long to make your post pretty and include all the relevant details someone else will beat you to it and steal the OzBargain glory.

      • someone else will beat you to it and steal the OzBargain glory.

im all to aware that some people define there whole being by an irrelevant number on the inerwebs, but seriously as long as someone posts it who really cares? people must really have some huge lack elsewhere in there lives if its THAT important

Just beware of the courier company used by dick smith. If you miss your delivery for whatever reason, then organizing a redelivery is a nightmare. 15-20 mins wait on the phone queue and on top of that they still manage to stuff it up.

    • I assumed they used parcel post, I've had my previous deliveries go to an australia post parcel locker.

Seems like antything under 10kgs can go by post: http://www.dicksmith.com.au/help/delivery-information/delive…

In WA all my deliveries from DS have come through StarTrack and have all had to be signed for.

      • DSE StarTrack wouldn't put it in a Parcel Locker for me. Even for fairly small package. Maybe its the signature thing.

      • Nsw uses startrack Aswell.
They won't leave it at my door (even though I request them to) and they can't leave it at the post office.
I now get it sent to work as it's a nightmare trying to get them to leave it at home since nobody is home

        • second last time they didn't even knock on my door and they took the ds order to the local post office, and last time they didn't come to my place and i was at work when i got the delivery message saying that i personally signed for my parcel!!! I asked for proof of delivery and they sent me a signature that has nothing to do with mine

    • previous deliveries to me from dick smith have come via australia post. i imagine if i miss one it just goes to my local post office.

I had a bad experience when they sent it through StarTrack. They never attempted delivery (I was home ALL week - did not leave the house [don't judge me, I was ill]) but a week after I ordered, it was 'ready for collection' at the depot 15 minutes away. I emailed DS, who said they would organise 'redelivery' but it still didn't arrive a week later. A second email was sent to DS, and my package arrived the next business day.

The deal is getting worse… The other day, the deal was $19.95 for a pack of 8xAA

  • Thanks to OP for posting. We shouldn't discourage users from posting deals!

I agree with Smaster. The deal is getting worse. I bought 2 x 8 Tropical AA pack + Eneloop Standard Charger which came with additional 4 AA batteries (white color). So in total 20 AA batteries plus charger for $25.95 including postage on 7th March 2014.

DickSmith were supposed to send 16 AA Rouge Battery Pack but later received an email saying that they will send the tropical ones.

    • haha best deal Ever!!! but lets face it, it was an error and will never happen again :D

      • Never say never when it comes to stupidity…..

I have not open my previous ones yet.

Either have I. But because some of my devices use 3x or 4x AA batteries, and two packs of 8xAA Tropical only gives you matching pairs, I feel compelled to buy two more packs.

But because of those 3xAA devices, I'm still gonna end up with orphaned batteries. What we need is a Tropical Eneloop owners swap meet I think.
