Does auto transmission fluid go bad after a few years in storage (like what I suspect has happened here)
I think ATF has longer shelf life than engine oil. Plus auto trans is a sealed unit ( less interaction with air, fuel, dust, combustion etc). Some manufacturer claims they last for the life of the vehicle ( of course I dont really trust that, I want my vehicle to go beyond 300,000 km )
