Advance Notice

I will be on holidays overseas starting from May 14th to May 24th. Between these dates I will be unable to post new tasks and therefore postpone the competition until the 25th. Sorry everyone :(

I'm sure most of you guys collect coke rewards codes and I have just recently started. I'm only up to 380 points at the moment and I tend to scavenge through the recycle bin in the lunch room for empty coke bottles (yes, I'm a binny). I tend to find 5 a day, if not more. My mum also works in a restaurant and they go through lots of 2litre bottles each day so I ask her to bring them back for me (thanks mum!)

However, as you can only enter 10 codes a week, I'm accumulating alot of codes which is just sitting here waiting for the new week to arrive.

So I thought I should give some out daily. Just follow these terms and conditions. There's nothing much more to that.

Please read the rules before entering:
a) You must have been a member at least one month and active; b) You must have posted comments at least 30 times; c) Up to 3 codes will be posted daily; d) I have the final decision when this giveaway will cease; e) Only winners will be responded via PM; f) You may enter all tasks but will only win one code per day; g) winners code will be published on this page the following day so please redeem it as soon as possible; h) Only one guess per task per person; i) Tasks are only available on the day it's put up. Tasks will be illegible to enter after 11:59pm Adelaide time and therefore cannot be won

3) if you're the first to answer correctly, I will reply with a code

Due to the sheer amount of PMs I have been receiving, it's hard to keep track on all the responses I get. To make it easier for me, I have created a form to submit your answers in. I'm sure you'll agree its much simpler.

    Maybe have people mail you for the codes, to ensure only members of ozbargain can avail this, excluding voyers who can't post they have taken them.

    Never freely post codes where everyone can see them.

    Best to give them out via PM. Better if a little competition was done (e.g guess a number, jv's pet peeve). Best if you could get them to quote [someone's] post AND PM you.

      14 is the first letter of the numbers one to nine
      15 is the top row of your keyboard alternating from the far right letter, then far left letter, then second to right letter etc.

      I read #14 as consonants being doubled, vowels being singles, so next letter was N.

      Code #13: 1m equals 1000mm meaning 1 meter equals 1000 millimeters
      code #14: the first letter of the numbers 1-9 one two three etc. so it has to be T for ten
      Code #15: the letters alternate from right to left on the top row of a standard QWERTY keyboard

    MIMIC = 2102? If this is based on the roman numerals then it's entirely wrong since roman numerals use subtractive notation, i.e. IV = 4 and not 6 because the 1 is subtracted from 5 (V).

    This sentence sums up the concept behind roman numerals pretty well:

    You must separate ones, tens, hundreds, and thousands as separate items. That means that 99 is XCIX, 90 + 9, but never should be written as IC. Similarly, 999 cannot be IM and 1999 cannot be MIM.

      Yes, MIMIC by itself isn't a valid roman numeral form, but I calculated 2102 by converting it to correct form (MMCII). The riddle (at least in my opinion) was to recognise that the word MIMIC is solely made up of roman numeral characters, and to rearrange them into proper format, kinda like an anagram.

        Yes. Unfortunately, I'm on annual leave now and mum is interstate so there has been no new supply of codes for now. I'm still doing this but I'm leaving it for now waiting for more codes to be collected.
