Woodworm Golf Umbrella from OO.com.au

Hi guys, I know most people here loves their woodworm umbrella from many deals, however has anyone noticed this possible design issues within them?

That is the umbrella's panel has 2 seperate pieces. The bottom piece is tucked under the top piece. And they are not stitched together all the way through. Therefore after soaking in the rain, once you close the umbrella and hold it with handle upwards, won't all the water run down into the insdie tip of umbrella?

Winter season is about to hit adelaide, so if anyone has can confirm this won't be a problem will be appreciated.

I thought they are designed that way so that the wind doesn't get ahold of them and turn them inside out. Haven't received mine yet to try it.

    • Yes they definitely are - they're great in the wind. Didn't think of them being a problem drying, I always try to leave mine open to dry or on their side anyway, so have never had this issue.

  • Maybe. However unlike normal umbrella, I don't think u can close it and swing it to get rid of waters outside. mmm, maybe try out in a rainy day :)

  • Yep you are correct. I was aware of the issue and just stored it with handle down. Had a mate borrow it one day and he came back a bit wet as when he opened it up after a break with nose down it had collected a bit of water. Just be wary of it. Mine have lasted for about 3-4 years now and only one left on the train that I didnt get back

    • thanks for the feedback, but then how do u hold the umbrella in between (say: shop visits during a raining day). It would be rather strange to hold the tip of your umbrella while walking. lol, we will see.

  • Cheers for the thread - I didn't know about this and well, what a deal! :D
