I think it's worth noting that acetone is used (in a more concentrated form) to strip lacquer from furniture and can eat through paint and stain. Putting nail polish remover in a pump bottle just seems like a terrible idea to be because of the potential spillage, I know my wife has rings on her tallboy where she stores her nail polish remover thanks to this.

Potentially better than knocking over an open bottle though, which my daughter has a habit of doing.

    Thanks. Bought 4.

  • Man, pump and pump but these suckers don't seem to work

    • If the pump doesn't seem to be working then try filling a bowl with hot water (not so hot that you can't put your hands in comfortably), leave the pump in there for a couple of minutes and then pump it under the water ensuring that the whole thing is submerged.

After about a dozen pumps or so if it isn't pumping through water then it's stuffed but I've 'fixed' a few pump bottles this way before.
