Free Wii + Wii Fit + Panasonic 42" Viera Full HD Plasma $1899 (50" for $2999)

80

Cheapest I've seen!

42" Panasonic Viera Full HD Plasma + Wii + Wii Fit ($1899)
50" Panasonic Viera Full HD Plasma + Wii + Wii Fit ($2999) - I think for the 50" it's better to get it at Myer (currently 15% off Plasma TVs) so it is $2804 and buy a $99 Wii Fit from EB Games which works out to be $2903…

Previous best deal from WOW $1899 for 42" but does not include a Wii Fit.

BTW there's also a 46" model available, and I think these prices are for the S10A model.

I found this in The Courier Mail 02/07/09 page 22 as attached PDF (I can't find this deal ANYWHERE ELSE). However I checked RT Edwards own website catalogue and it is $1999 excluding the Wii Fit, so show them the newspaper ad!

    nice deal and first post.

  • Is this the same deal as this?

this one comes with a free wii fit as well, there also might be a special deal on the tv price???

    • Thanks for your comment HueyData. This deal comes with a Wii Fit as well and best price I have found. I did comment in the deal you have mentioned above but now I have included proof as PDF as I have finally found the newspaper :)

You are right too pspman. Thx.

Yeah, I asked as the previous one didn't mention Wii Fit.

        • No worries, thanks HueyData. If you're interested I'd say go there asap with the newspaper ad. My friend went to RT Edwards the other day at Kessels Rd and the staff didn't know anything about it. I emailed RT Edwards and they apologised and confirmed the deal and said they'll let the staff know about it. Good luck.

I bought the 42” Panasonic Viera Full HD Plasma few days ago in JB hi fi for $1854 but no Wii fit was given… had to buy it separately. Good deal felixco!

    • Thanks yubau. Hope you're enjoying your new TV and Wii…

I dont feel so bad about missing out on the wii promo because I only paid $2600 for my 50" Viera
    Not always a 'freebie'

I got a 50" for $2797 but paid full retail for +4 yr warranty (include delivery). The wife used the Wii to trade $200 worth of comestics with my sister-in-law. Everyone is happy.

      • Thx flyingtrapeze. Good stuff. I think these Panasonic TVs come with a standard 1 year warranty correct me if I'm wrong. And playing Wii on it, a 1 yr warranty probably isn't enough =D

        • got the 4 yr extended warranty for $399. JB claimed they "had to" make money somewhere :)
5 yr warranty all up brought the price to just under $3200.
there was another couple getting the same unit, we bought and paid together, couldn't get JB to come down more :(

          • @flyingtrapeze: well that's a smart move buying with other people… they ARE making money otherwise they wouldn't still be around… =)

    • Thx Orgazmo. I think you got yourself a pretty good deal! Well you can get a Wii+Wii Fit for $388 from DSE I think that was a deal someone posted or just a Wii for $325 from JB.

      • Don't get me wrong though, my price did include a lot of haggling and cash payment so otherwise this wii deal is decent

        • Thx Orgazmo. So how's the TV so far? Had any problems with it? Would you recommend it to someone buying a new TV?

          • @iNeedMoreMoney: its great, great for ps3/360 and others, pc and BR/DVD. The sd card feature works well. No problems at all. I guess the only con is I find the remote is a bit touchy. You need to have it lined up with the tv almost perfectly otherwise it wont register

            • @Orgazmo: I haven't tried the SD card feature, but connected the lappy up to the 50", and it was a breeze working on the End of Financial Year spreadsheet on such a big screen

  • hi.. saw this from R T Edwards

    http://www.rtedwards.com.au/catalogues/july/06.pdf

saw the 10% off for all plasma, does this mean the $1999 42inch panasonic with wii provided will be $1799 rather than $1899? or they r different model?

  • Hi hospital2005: from the bottom of the PDF it says excludes catalogue specials so I believe the $1999 is already discounted. Also the one shown in the catalogue does not include a Wii Fit comparing to the one I saw in the newspaper.

  • Just come back from R T Edwards at Garden city, Brisbane. Saleman said $1899 for the TV and claim the Wii that's it. No wii fit, and don't want to know anything about courier mail.

Latest updates: went to R.T. Edwards Macgregor store on my way home. Appearantly only the store manager knows about this and the staffs on the floor has no idea about that. Yes, $1899 for the 42" TV, a claim form for the Wii goes to Panasonic and a seperated claim form for the wii fit need to send to R.T. Edwards head officer. Thanks a lot guys!

  • Wow great to hear!! Yeah the guys at RT don't seem to know what they're doing, but great to hear you got what was offered! Enjoy your new TV and Wii!
