    runs off one AA battery.

    For how long?

    • +13

Until the battery runs out. Owning 5 million eneloops like everyone else here makes it a non-issue.

If you have owned one of these you would know they run for quite a while, but the idea of any torch isn't to just turn it on and run it flat. For $3.17 just buy one JV and get free entry in the OzB Torch Club (though me thinks your question is just keeping up your personality profile).

I recently upgraded my parents to these from really old 2xD cell torches, and they love them. Small, bright and fun to use!

      • +2

just buy one JV and get free entry in the OzB Torch Club

I already have one that runs off an LC 18650 (3.7V, 3000mAh).

Lasts about 20 mins or so… Interested to know how long this one last with just one AA.

Do you know ??? Or just trolling…

Do you know ??? Or just trolling

          Jealous.

        • I've had one since July last year, I put a brand new energizer lithium in it and I haven't replaced it yet and I use it probably every third day for a few minutes at a time.

it lasts awhile at usable brightness.

I just ordered 4 of these for family members who love mine (as well as another for myself) now I just need to finally get around to jumping onto the ozbargain eneloop train to power all of these.

        • You get about 1-2hrs of very bright light out of them with a typical rechargeable 2000mah/2.4WHr NIMH battery. They get pretty hot so I assume its drawing 1-2watts.

The torch dimms towards the end as the battery goes flat.

    • +2

      For how long?

about an hour, maybe 2 if your lucky. you certainly wouldnt want to be buying energisers for these torches but as said above run them off rechargeable (hobbyking is my preferred brand) and they are awesome little torches

    • For how long?

Description on banggood web page (click on "go to deal" link and scroll down) says "2-3 hours depend on battery capacity", in reality maybe a little less. They start to dim a little after a couple of weeks (of intermittent use) and I generally recharge the batteries well before they stop giving out any light.

      (using Hobbyking "Turnigy" or Eneloops)

    • For how long?

I wish it were for as many hours as JV can troll.

  • +5

    Features:
    1.Average lifespan 100000 hours
2.Also designed to mount on certain hand pistols, rifles and shotguns with proper mounting equipment
3.Adjustable Focus ,you can Zoom in/out to adjust its beam .
4.Waterproofing shell allows the flashlight to be used in rainy day, but don't use it under water.

Thanks rep, bought one for my shotgun.

      • Dam it I just cracked….. I have abstained for 2 months now. I thought I could do it cold turkey … but going dark is much harder than I thought….. I have just had 1 setback today… I told myself its OK to buy more as these ones are differnt colours…… now I just feel dirty :( :(

        • +1

bugger just realised these ones are the single mode OFF and ON none of this flashing and dimming crap………… shit Im ganna just buy one more now then :(

    • "let alone the crate full I have already"
make sure you remove any batteries from torches you don't use specially does that come with cheap chinese batteries included as they leak.

  • Chuck a 14500 in and it will at least double the brightness of a AA.

  • Becareful of this seller, I've bought two torches from then now and either showed up, one of these which I wasn't too upset by then later one of the $55 D40as, be very cautions

    • +1

I only got the dispatched email for the Sunwayman's the other day…two weeks after the purchase.

    • +6

      Hi dewy
Have you tried to contact customer service for support? If you like contact me directly [email protected] and i will handle your case

      • Hi Rep, I bought an identical one from another supplier last year and although they said it works with AAs, it needed much higher than the standard 1.5 volts from Alkaline AA to light up.
Can you guarantee that these will work with Alkaline AA 1.5V? What about 1.2V from rechargeable AA batteries?

  • I got 3 of these last time they were on special.. seem to work fine.. nice and bright, runs of AA so easy to use my stash of rechargeables.. great for in the caravan and the kids have one each to muck around with. I am tempted to get some more to put in the glove box of the car.

  • cant seem to find where to enter code?…..anyone?

    • +1

    • +1

The same reason I'm buying more, these come in pretty colours

I tripped on a torch the other week and sat on one in the car today, but they were mere black in colour

      • why did you only buy 4 more torches?

        • +2

          There were only 4 colors!

        • there are 6. shame.

Bought a Sunwayman off Banggood.com from this last deal
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/141010
It was dead on arrival and doesn't work.
I requested a return address and a return under warranty conditions. Banggood was insistent I had to make a video to show the defective product for a warranty return. Emailed back and forth and finally made one and uploaded to youtube:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qoLXCm_7a3g
They now say the video doesn't work…
    Not professional at all.
Here is the kind of correspondence I'v had to deal with:

    Dear Sir:
Sorry for the defective flashlight and I am the led flashlight professional guy.Can you please send the video as an attachment? The video can not open.Hope to hear from you.

    Best regards
    Alysonhe

Really frustrating having to go through 4 or 5 back and forth emails which would otherwise be a simple 1, 2 send.
I've never had to return anything from buying online for years…
    Buyer be warned…

    • +1

Maybe they are based in China, and I heard you can not get Youtube in China…

    • Makes me confident about my MIA torch :(

    • Hi treeherring, we have read your experience and would like to ask was the situation resolved finally? Sometimes our customer service team cannot follow some links as China blocks access at times. Our VPN also sometimes does not allow us access. Can you tell me what ended up happening? If you need more help also give me your order number? I will look into your case.

      • +3

        Order No. 1913777
Cheers mate, the video was sent as an attachment today.
As I've reinstated it won't turn on , making a video doesn't really give or take away any information I've already given you. I could just as easily make a video with dead batteries or disconnected switches if I wanted to dupe you out of a free torch…

        • Sending a video as an attachment is just their standard procedure (I know sometimes it seems pointless), do as they request and it will be sorted going of my experience.

    • Wow they make you jump through hoops for $3, thanks for the heads up they are deleted from my faves as there are plenty of other suppliers out there.

      • +1

NO, YOU NEED TO READ CAREFULLY!

He bought a Sunwayman for $55.

$55 dollar might not seem much to us but to someone from china that could be a whole week wages. They need to follow standard procedure or some one might lose their job.

  • Don't need it, still got one. A$3.55 using 28 degrees Mastercard.

    • A$13.18 for 4 (equals A$3.295 each) using PayPal, Australian dollar currency selection on Banggood site.

  • don't know why i need one

    but i bought one lol

  • I could have donated the money to charity but decided to buy one. Don't need it and will never use it.

    • +5

Most charities are scams run by money-siphoning directors whose only interest is using a tiny portion of proceeds for the PR. Better off spending it than throwing it down the gurgler with a charity.

      • +4

3 ignorant downvoters so far. Keep it coming.

        • +3

3 ignorant downvoters so far. Keep it coming.

sadly all these "scams" rely on the sheeple to keep paying for the cocktail parties and the private jets etc of the people who run them. its the same people who downvoted you no doubt :)

have some pluses anyway from someone who has actually looked into where the money actually goes…

    • Donate the torch…sure they could use one

  • -1

Cheap, but I'd prefer a headlamp.

  • +1

How can I enter the coupon on the mobile site?

  • Hi Rep,

Can you change my color from Blue to Red please? I forgot to tick red button.

    Order no: 2030729

  • [oot]: rep, about your romoss portable charger. is it genuine brand or fake? last time we asked, no one answer it.

    • its fake

  • OMG ozbargain i bought 3 i dont need them its part of my addiction… I will give them away .

  • Just bought a handful, every colour except red (red had an expected restock date of 10 May, while all the others claim to be in stock).

After playing around with the shopping cart to figure out the discounted price, it seems that only the black/silver models are US$3.17, the other colours were slightly cheaper at US$2.98 each.

    • Seems like you've looked at the price for 3 torches [there are discounts for buying in quantity] hence the different price each. The coloured torches are US$3.17 when buying one or two.

      • Ah of course! I didn't think of that and assumed that since I was buying less than 3 of each colour I wouldn't get any quantity discounts.

  • I bought one months back and it's a really good torch. Bought a black and silver one! Can never have too many torches lol Thanks!

  • Bought 2 of these last time. They are the brightest torches I have…it's like a laser beam! And only a single AA!

  • Bit the bullet and joined the Ozbargain torch collectors club finally!! (I am well and truly already a member of the eneloop club) Love how buying from these guys does not need yet another login/account created, it just lets you buy as a guest. Can't wait to put my torch in the kitchen drawer in case I need it. lol

  • I just bought 6. They will join my other 5 1xAA cheapies. But seriously, they make a great cheap gift for people.

Also for those wondering about banggood, I have purchased a lot of different torches, and a charger, and some other cheap gadgets from these guys over the last 8 months. Some things take up to a month to arrive, while others in less than a week (Nitecore i4 charger).

  • Just bought 6 as well :) Bought 6 last time and gave them out to family and kept one for myself. Thought I'd go and give a small review now.
For the price, compact size, and brightness of these things, you can't go wrong! Get at least one!
Now for the best bit - these are WATERPROOF*!
When I say waterproof, I don't mean that it's going to keep all the water out of the lens bit, but it'll keep on going even when it has been submerged/thrown around in fresh water! Considering there's no moving parts and no real circuitry to break, there's no reason why you can't use it in any environment really.
Be warned though - if you do use it in water then you'll have to open it up to dry it out later - good fun project for the kids to do if you don't want to do it.
    Enjoy :)

    To: Store rep

    Hi,

I just ordered 9 torches from your website but it did not send me a confirmation email. I went through checkout as a guest. My Order No: 2035485, please confirm this has gone through.

    Thanks.

  • Bought 6. One for each person in the household and in each car. Very handy.

  • Sold out ! who bought them?

    • Well, I wish I had. I have a torch like that and was looking to pull the trigger on some more at that price. Oh well, I'll wait until it comes around again.

  • Still black ones left.

  • expired??? so quick?

  • My order was canceled. Not a happy customer

  • Just received my order. Yay!

  • Torches arrived today. :)

  • Same. Picked mine up today.

  • Hmmm, still waiting for mine.

    • Got it a couple of days ago. Was a little nervous since the last one I ordered (from a different site) never showed.

Great little torch. Surprised at how bright it is - much better than an old 2 battery Maglite I have.

  • Yep got mine last week, 5 day camping trip it performed exceptionally well and still going strong at the end. So easy to carry about in the jacket pocket, ideal for pouring drinks or finding the tent at the end of the night!
