Huawei Honor 3C - For those that want a high spec Android device at fraction of the cost!

So I'm chiming in here with my 0.02 BTC worth of info.

I purchased a Huawei Honor 3C for $268AUD (with postage for that price). It's working fine with Optus…I do not care for 4G. (I have Wifi at home.)

My phone came rooted by the seller (chinadroid site I will not mention but has been discussed in this thread).

Very reputable site to buy: DX.com

I also received a screen protector and a case (both the plastic kinds) but was happy they were included for this price.

I found this guide quite helpful in making my decision: a reddit discussion

The only other thing to note is that it roughly has 4.5gb free and being that it records HD video I would advise spending $40AUD (postage included) on a 32gb Class-10 MicroSD card from DX.com here

I hate to say it but looking at Aus prices locally for the same thing you are looking at paying $20 extra and I am a poor person so I need every cent I can get.

I hope this helps :-)

  • Hmm, do you buy all of your stuff from DX?

Just the regular - around $25 - or even less - deals on 32GB class 10 micro cards posted on OzBargain could have saved you some of that money you're so worried about…

My $20 Samsung class 10 card from a ShoppingExpress deal posted last week arrived today. Rather quick delivery, compared to DX.

    • I did not buy any of my stuff from DX I linked to them because I would not recommend where I went through to buy "my" stuff from. Not exactly highly reputable or well known.

      • Wow. Ok. Still, your phone turned up.
You're very brave for taking the risk, just the same.
Let me guess, though. Despite the risk, you didn't save much/any money by not buying from DX?
Still, a penny saved is a penny earned. Feel free to post your original seller's links.
I might take the risk myself.
        Thanks in advance.

you can buy it for $225 shipped on ebay

$268AUD - how is this price even worth mentioning? and let's not forget you bought from DX.

  • Looks like a decent spec device and good to see it does both 900mhz and 850mhz.

    damn.. should not buy samsung.

    • only 1GB RAM+4GB ROM

  • lol….well if that is not a pure and blatant advertisement then I don't know what is!!!

    • What a scandalous implication…

  • Dual Sim-card (One is GSM only)

Who the h… still uses GSM with a smart phone. Junk!!!

I think the use case might be one SIM for phone calls and one SIM for data. For example use Virgin for phone calls because all your families are on it, and use Telstra for data.
