One Day Deal - Elder Scrolls Online + 30 Days at Only AU $33.78 at Fast2play.com

This product does not include any pre-order bonuses nor beta/headstart access.

It is a time of strife and unrest. Armies of revenants and dark spirits manifest in every corner of Tamriel. Winters grow colder and crops fail. Mystics are plagued by nightmares and portents of doom.

Four years ago, in 2E 578, an arcane explosion of energy in the Imperial City set off mystical aftershocks that swept across Nirn. Mages died or went mad. Supernatural abominations from the plane of Oblivion, the Daedra, appeared in greater numbers than ever before. The constellation of the Serpent grew so large that it dominated the night sky.

So began the grand scheme of Molag Bal, Daedric Prince of domination and enslavement. His Dark Anchors, vortexes of evil magic, weaken the barrier between worlds, threatening to merge Nirn and Oblivion into a single, nightmarish hellscape.

In the midst of this chaos, three alliances vie for control of the Imperial City and the White-Gold Tower. High Rock, Sentinel, and Orsinium stand as one, united under the rule of the High King in Wayrest. Valenwood and Elsweyr have forged an alliance of their own with Summerset, while Black Marsh, Morrowind, and Skyrim have formed a third, uneasy pact.

The Daggerfall Covenant. The Aldmeri Dominion. The Ebonheart Pact.

Three armies will take up arms against the Empire, and against each other, to wrest control of the Imperial City and White-Gold Tower from the dark forces of Oblivion itself.

Where do your loyalties lie?

R.I.P. ESO… Too young to die, too broken to live.

    • is it that bad? any reviews from other gaming website on this? I was about to try…

It's worse, but if you have oooodles of cash and don't mind blowing it on a game you'll quit after a couple of weeks, then go for it :)

      • I have been playing since the last beta, IMO it's an excellent game.

Every NPC is voiced, the voice acting is even better than Skyrim. The writing is excellent, and is deeply involved in the Elder Scrolls Lore.

The graphics are awe inspiring. Many times through the game I have explored just for the sake of enjoying the art of the world. You can go to many of the lands featured in the previous entries to the series.

Customization of your character is practically straight from Skyrim, cheek bones, jaw length etc…

Gameplay is interesting. There is a real game here, not just an MMO interface for statistics simulation.

Everyone is on either US or UK server. There are open instances, where people come and go as they please, and grouping is not required as you simply progress through the dungeon together naturally. There are also closed instances where you LFG for a party and that whole BS.

If you buy this game and rush to lvl 50, you are going to run out of content. Because you skipped it all.

Some quests are bugged. I found one. So I went and did other quests instead - Zero F's given. The next day it was fixed. I have done every quest in the first two zones of my alliance (I'm up to lvl 30). There are frequent updates fixing bugs and introducing features, neither of which I care about because the game for me is the lvl 1-50 content, and so far that has been very enjoyable as-is.

edit: but I have to admit, soupie jr's response is catchier ;)

Wait a cupla months and it will be a free download and free to play.
Its a dodo currently with numerous bugs, few players and not worth paying for.
Its funny that it hasnt even released on the ps4/xbox one yet.
Imagine how populat it will be paying:
eso monthly fee + xbox live monthly fee + net connection fee.

Will go the same wY as everquest adventures on ps2.
Ie server close down and game is only for disc collectors.

Hardly a good look for the next gen consoles.

    • Go the same way as Warhammer online, though Warhammer died even though it went F2P. Likely that's because EA were just too cheap to support it. I still have a collector's Ed in original shrink wrap! Useless now.

I wouldn't say ESO isn't worth playing, I would say that it's not worth playing while you must pay a subscription.

  • This is honestly all the game is worth in Australia atm with the ridiculous levels of maintenance. I would also say you should seriously consider the EU servers over the NA ones - lag difference isn't overly noticeable but the maintenance for EU finishes by mid afternoon our time whereas you'll lose 2 nights a week on NA servers due to downtime.

For me, the places the game is failing is in the administration and architecture, not the style or environment. If you want a place to hang out with like-minded people to fill in time while waiting for ES6 and don't care that grouping is broken or bag space is illogical or there's no AH's, then this can happily provide that entertainment in the meantime.
