i've got one pair of this. Good bass and sound. Wire is a bit thin tho.

  • not the cheapest these have been (frequently on here for $10-15 delivered or 3 for $25 at Grays online) but still really good value for these earphones

yea, I got 3 for $25 from Graysonline last time and sold one of them for $20 on Gumtree. $5 for two pairs for myself XD

    • Yes. It was with Grays $10 off $20 coupon I think

    • As I know, you cannot stack the coupon at OO.

i wouldn't go for them, must be fake.i bought few sony earphones on ebay, look identcal to the ones i previously owned (retail, packaged),but the sound gives out they are fake. They are usual sold on the net as brand new without original packaging etc…

      Fake sound!? HOW ANNOYING!!

    • God knows why you were downvoted. I have also bought fakes on ebay. Seems sensible to me to at least give out a warning.

    • +2

Graysonline which owns OO now is a Sony refurbishment and old stock outlet. They can not be fake if sold at OO or Graysonline.

  • can i go directly to oo shop to buy these instead?

Is off with paying extra for sennheisers?

  • Are these noise cancelling/isolating earbuds?

    • These are NOT noise cancelling, but are considered isolating earbuds.

I avoid noise cancelling as they usually require a separate battery. They are isolating as the plugs go into your ear canals, so level of isolation depends on the tips you use.

      • Cheers! Good enough for me.

Also, I'm no audiophile, but are these better than Logitech AE200?

        • For $13 you cant go wrong

        • +1

I think you mean UE200? IMO the Sony is wayyy better.

I own and like both brands, thats the disclaimer. High ends of these brands are both excellent. But the kicker here being the EX220 is an old but mid-range model now at bargain basement price.

UE200 is a current model of entry level.

The oversized drivers in these Sonys give MUCH better bass and clarity for sure than low end UEs which uses microdrivers (as most earphones at this price point) as they are extremely cheap to produce.

  • feedback anyone?

    • I have a few pair, excellent quality and well worth the $15 I paid. You won't go wrong.

OO is owned by Graysonline so same stock. Earphone offer pretty good sound for this price, you can't go wrong. Decent ruggedness, i have had a similar model for over 3 years now. Its EX line so Sony's semipro monitor earphone, not your average consumer crap. I use mine for chucking around when i am travelling, when i am not on my TripleFi.

Just what I was looking for. Thanks WNK.

I would say these are about on par with the Apple EarPods, they are overall decent headphones with a strong bass and on max volume the sound doesnt become distorted and the high ends rarely sound unpleasant.

The wire could be a bit thicker though, these look like something that would get handed out on a Jetstar flight.

    • The wire could be a bit thicker though

Are they so flimsy that they would break with a tug/pull?

      • I have had my EX500 for over 3 years, no problems with cord and it is my goto pair for rough travelling. At this price who cares!

I ordered one even tho i have EX500, EX220 and TripleFi. Good to have a backup to a backup at this price.

      • It would wanna be a real strong pull, and then it more likely break the plug than the cable. Yes its thin but I wouldnt say flimsy, just thin.

Also in my experience, these decimate ibuds which are truly horrible. These are on par with my $60 Brainwavz M2's. Truly incredible sound for their price and im gettin some spares for when they break (%95 of all iems break).

  • Anyone got shipping notice yet?

    • I received mine 2 days after buying.

Better give them a call or email.
