Overview

Each Far Cry game included in the Wild Expeditions compilation offers a unique storyline and setting that will keep gamers playing for many hours and experiencing the expansive open world beauty, original narrative and the memorable characters combined with Far Cry’s classic FPS gameplay.

Far Cry Classic - Far Cry Classic is the premiere and ultimate console version of the very first Far Cry game. Take the role of charter boat captain, Jack Carver, who finds himself hunted by an unrelenting team of highly trained mercenaries in this nature-gone-wrong FPS adventure. This HD revamp features stunningly realistic foliage, real-time day and night cycles, drivable underwater, commandeer, or even flying vehicles, and more…

Far Cry 2 – Caught between two rival factions in war-torn Africa, you are stricken with malaria and forced to make deals with corrupt warlords on both sides of the conflict in order to hunt down your mark – The Jackal. This version includes the full single-player campaign and Multiplayer.

Far Cry 3 – Beyond the reach of civilization lies a lawless island ruled by violence and human suffering. This is where you find yourself stranded, caught in a bloody conflict between psychotic warlords and indigenous rebels, where your only escape is through drugs or the muzzle of a gun. Includes the full single-player campaign, Multiplayer, and Co-op modes.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon – The year is 2007. It is the future. You are Sergeant Rex Colt: Mark IV cyber Commando. Earth has been ravaged by a nuclear war, which erupted in the 90s. Get the girl, kill the bad guys and save the world. Includes the full single-player campaign.

"The year is 2007. It is the future." … when was this written? 2004 ?

when was this written? 2004 ?

      Yes.

Some of the best one liners / laughs you will ever get in a video game:

"I'm tucking you into your death bed, and your blanket is six feet of my shit"

"Spider: Men want to be like me…

Rex: And you want to be with men. I get it"

"Blah blah blah, kill, blah blah blah"

"So I collect shit, to unlock shit, and then I get shit. Got it!"

      • "Someone call the Medic, so I can kill him too".

  • Decent deal for consoles for a local copy, although these games can be bought separately for about the same price.

It's been ~ $30 delivered from the UK recently…I reckon sub $25 would be a great buy (sub $12 for PC).

Great deal if I didn't already own FC1 and 2.

This isn't really a complete anthology of anything seeing as FarCry's proper successor is the other Crytek developed franchise: Crysis and the subsequent sequels.

Whereas the Ubisoft Montreal spin-off saga takes a sandbox approach with far superior story-writing/voice-acting and a much more realistic emphasis.

Though I will concede the gameplay formula for all 6 "-Cry" games is remarkably familiar: stalk packs of enemies in largely open environments, mark objectives/threats with binoculars, travel from firefight to firefight in vehicles, undergo some radical plot twist towards the end of the game and admire the view.

But of course, asking EA and Ubisoft to bundle their games into one package is probably like asking Israel and Palestine to share land.

Upvoted for the combined price however, which is cheaper than buying these games separately.
