Shame that the only way to get a good price for the Steam version is to buy it from the Steam store, everywhere else is selling Uplay keys only
I expect Amazon will have the Steam + uPlay and uPlay versions, as they do for most Ubi games.
Well, since all cd key stores use suppliers who scan the code from a game box, getting a steam version is nearly impossible since those boxes come with a UPlay code.
We did try to find a Steam version but found nothing at all.

Yea there was a limited time offer (or a mistake:) where you could order the Deluxe version of the game for peanuts via the Origin India store.
I'm guessing the guy in charge of this got fired pretty quickly :)Either way, both the retail and the digital price of the game is going up as we are getting closer to release.

Definitely going to be one of those wait and see games. I was as hyped as the rest at E3 last year but… not so much any more. I sincerely hope it's awesome - but it's not getting my preorder.

What's the bloody difference.. . Steam or not then?I like the idea of downloading it through steam, much quicker for me, all my games in one central area and being able to back it up when required. All a plus for me even if it has to run uplay.
Not to mention a number of times while downloading i would hit the close button thinking it would minimize to the taskbar while continuing to download, only to find out a few hours later it hadn't. As long as the price is fair.

Currently no. We are looking into this though and might able to add the console versions as well.
on the steam page under System Requirements it doesn't say it Requires a UPlay account like all the other games that do. (eg. farcry3)
I'll pay the extra for a steam key if that is the case. I never want to see Uplay again.

I'd love to play Farcry 3 but every time i clicked play it updated even though i had uplay open all day, lost all interest and uninstall that rubbish after the 3rd time.
The sad thing is my mate has a pirate copy, he had no problem playing when ever he wanted.
I'd also like to point out that its $37 USD and not AUD
