Don't book with Air Asia unless your trip is very flexible! We booked our tickets months ago for a trip next week and received a confirmation email last weekend that allowed us to begin the web check in process. Two days later we got an email saying the return flight had been cancelled and to email them to arrange for another flight. We emailed the same day and have yet to receive a response. Called the customer service number, and got them to change the flight but they could not help in regards to refunds for lost hotels or complaints. They also said we needed to be in touch earlier as now they had no more remaining seats on any flight that weekend. We have now had to book a hotel for an extra night and take additional time off work at the very last minute. Buyer beware with this budget airline. It says something about a company when they don't even have a customer relations phone number, only an email address that apparently is never looked at.
Yup agree sometimes when you try to save end up paying more. Happened to me with Tiger - never again
Same here.. was burned by Tiger on our return flight and treated like shit a couple of years ago. Virgin ended up feeling sorry for us and helping us out with a cheap flight home that day.

I had jetstar cancel a flight to gc last year. But I'm paying for 2 adults and 2 kids so the price difference to fly a full service airline just mean no holiday so I take the risk and use the $2000 savings on accommodation. Also we only have 1airasia flight a day leaving ade to kl so I haven't heard much about cancels here. Its our only international low cost carrier out of ade
all i do is sleep on the plane & watch movies on my tablet if i wake up. there is nothing more you need/want. Also plane food sucks
