  • Quite a comfy chair, but rather "tall".

  • I've had mine for 4 or 5 years now. It's done a good job.

$199 is normal price in USA or UK, but east coast AU is $399. Odd.

Damn, I was going to purchase one of these but they are a rip off at NSW IKEA stores.

Bugger, I wonder if that deal will come down to Victoria…was about to buy the chair but maybe I'll wait now.

    • ahhh.. I was gonna buy then noticed it wasnt' VIC. :(

  • Thanks OP was just about to get a new chair and it was this particular model.

  • I know its not the same, but ebay has similar chairs for lower prices for those outside of WA & SA.

  • Yay WA!

  • I'd really like a leather chair. Bought one off ebay a few weeks ago but when it came it was really poor quality (even at almost $400).

    • Was it from a reputable brand, or generic?

      • It was supposed to have been a decent brand, but I think that particular seller is selling the "2nds".

The actual leather finish was really nice but the arms were the main problem. They were not "finished" properly.

  • I got one of these yesterday from the Perth store. I've been waiting for it to come down from its usual $300 price tag. It comes with a 10 year warranty so just on that alone its worth the purchase.

I've had a Markus swivel chair (cloth fabric) for about a year now and they are really good chairs for the money.

Leagues better than any equivalent computer desk chairs that you find in Officeworks, Harvey Norman, Freedom or your run-of-the-mil, pedestrian furniture stores.

The high back (there were so few proper high-back swivel chairs when I was shopping around), the well-padded head rest, the generous recline, the sturdy steel frame and the modern-looking mesh back; it's definitely suitable for long computer usage.

When you recline it, it basically becomes a compact La-Z-Boy; great for watching stuff on a big screen.

Couldn't recommend it more if you're A) tall and B) lazy as hell and like to operate your computer with the physical enthusiasm of Steven Hawking.

Just wish the arm-rests were a bit shorter in height as they can get in the way of tables when you pull the chair in.

  • This chair was on my short list, but ended up getting the Herman Miller SAYL.

I picked one of these up today. A good buy at $199, and head and shoulders (literally and figuratively) above flimsy Officeworks shit.

At full price I'd be looking more closely at other options, but I'm very happy with it at this price.
