The ban was lifted in 2014 🙂

Yes, they would be blacklisted from Australian airspace if they weren’t safe.

What do people have against electric cars? Are they also against other electrified forms of transportation? A preference for steam trains?

Yes they’ve changed it. Using the credit no longer entitles you to lounge passes. Confirmed with an Amex rep.

Clearly says in terms and conditions that refunds of travel credits are not permitted.
