does Original Xiaomi have two packaging?

      • is it genuine or original? two words, two different meanings

        • Original from Xiaomi.

      • Maybe we should open the case and have a look inside

        • Good idea~

  • damn too late bought romoss already

I already have Sony, Kogan & Romoss PB's…

If these PB deals keep coming, this will end up like the eneloop fad!

People have great difficulty getting this in China and Taiwan because it is only released in batches.

Likely to be fake as it seems you have too much stock to be the real deal.

    • Thank you for your attention, once was difficult but it's easy to get a Xiaomi Mi2/Mi3 or Xiaomi power bank in China now,we get these power banks from our supplier and have plenty stock.
but it's difficult to get a Red Rice or the product that will be started to sale on 15th. :D

  • the link is dead?

Battery pack has good price but there always doubt of authenticity and it's dangerous to buy counterfeit battery pack due to the risk of fire and safety concerns. It would be good if there was a way of verifying the authenticity by sending it to someone trustworthy for review or posting pictures of the opened battery pack. Then I would assume there would be a greater demand from OZB community.

    • +1

Also there might be bags of sand instead of battery cells to make up the weight.

        • +1

That's not even your photo , its from a dutch blog site.

        • Yes you're right not ours.Just show what's inside.
You're welcome to share your photos here when you receive your package.

    • Xiaomi is a trust worthy brand and you can find many unboxing review in Youtube.

      • Xiaomi is a trustworthy brand.
Problem is not Xiaomi, it is that there are way too many fake ones around.

There are too many stories from China. Generally if you didnt buy it from Xiaomi direct, there is no guarantee it is genuine.

Rep I hope your supplier is Xiaomi directly. Otherwise I would check very carefully cos you could be a victim too.

        • Well, some of you have bought a pb from us,they will post the review here once they receive the package. :D

It said HongKong Post does not carry battery product and you are giving this option to choose.

    • Sorry, you could choose Singapore Post instead.

  • Great deal. But if you guys concern about a ridiculous recharge time I woukd suggest you to look here

    • ..Anything special?

      • -1

The amount of juice in this thing would take about 24 hr to recharge whereas this takes 15 mins. -_-a

        • What makes the difference since the output is the same?

  • Message to Rep: The $ amount you have is US not AU, please correct. I did order one, but if not a genuine XIAOMI product, and I will post here for all to see. You will see my order was placed 12:15 AM initials P.C. from New South Wales. If a genuine good battery, I will put positive comment.

Will be waiting for their 'positive comment' as well.

  • Hi Rep - Where is the product shipped from and how long will shipping take?

    • Hi,sorry for the delay, thank you for choosing us,the product will be shipped from China and it takes 7-30 days to ship to Australia,it all depends on the shipment.

  • Shipping two of them cost $12.80 using Singapore Post?

I tried adding other things too but the shipping became substantially more. It doesn't really make sense that purchasing more items renders a higher shipping cost. Does this mean I should just do 2 separate purchases?

    Thanks

  • Hi,sorry for the delay,thanks for choosing us.:D

Received the power bank today, looks like an original product to me, but didnt get a chance to test it yet. I purchased another one from a Aliexpress seller and turned out to be a fake one. Compared to that one this looks original to me.

Took exactly two weeks to get here (Used Singapore post)

    • +1

      Thanks for your post! :D

Just received the powerbank. I opened it up and it is original inside, LG batteries.

    • Can you charge both the powerbank and your phone at the same time?

  • Good rep +1

  • Getting one now.

    Thanks for the feedback guys

  • same thanks guys

  • Hi Rep, I've just ordered one of these… lets see :-)

  • Looks like the website's down. The OzB Hug-a-death? Or retailer has closed shop?

    • +1

      worked for me this morning

  • Rep I've placed an order for this power bank (along with a silicone protector case + otg card reader). Shipping comes to US$9.45. Like others I couldnt see shipping at $5.18 (when only have the power bank in the cart).

Will report back when shipment arrives.

  • Can anyone confirm its genuine?

  • 6 days and counting.. order has not been processed yet.

  • Same here - Ordered 6 days ago. Order is still in "processing"

    • +1

Emailed [email protected] mentioning that I might cancel order if not shipped within the next 2 days.

They replied within a few hours saying items has been shipped & gave me a (SingPost) tracking number.

      Will give comment when received.

      • How much shipping did you pay?

        • +1

$9 as I bought a few other items too.
With just the powerbank, the non-registered mail option is about $4. I'd gone for 1 of the registered mail options.

        • Does the registered mail option give an estimate of when it'll reach you?

          Thanks for adding your experience!

        • Yes - Each option (hong kong post, sing post, dhl etc) gives a range of shipping duration (10-20 days for SingPost) but it looks like they are indications given by mixmelot rather than by the individual shipping agencies, so i'd be reluctant to heavily rely on these figures. I'd suggest adding a test item and proceed to checkout & see.

        • Thanks!!

Back after a spell away. Received my order aprox. 3 weeks ago, so with SingPost took around 2 working weeks. First impressions were very good with the white cardboard case complete with security sticker. Did a few checks and looks to be a genuine original Xiaomi product with a nice build quality. Was half full of juice, and charged up well. Has great capacity and holds charge well. I am very happy with this battery so far, and give mixmelot.com thumbs up for their good service and providing quality products @ a good price.

    • Would you say it's easy to carry around/fit in a pocket?

  • Ordered the power bank & few items 2 days ago, however the order status still says "pending" until just now, hope they dispatch soon.

    • I emailed and it became 'processing' and then 'shipped' within three days.

Their tracking is really weird though…

      • Yes, turn "shipped" within three days, tracked with Singapore post site and it said "Dispatched to overseas" few days ago.

  • Yes BanSlavery, turn "processing" today, weird.

Received mine today, ordered on the 11th June, so three weeks delivery!

It looks genuine, but I haven't cracked it open it (and not sure I'll bother).

  • +2

    Received mine today too.

First thing I did was to enter the anti-counterfeit id number on the sticker that comes with the powerbank into xiaomi site (http://chaxun.mi.com/) to check for anuthenticity - all checked out ok (unless that site is a fake?)

    • Can it charge itself?

      • +1

Havent tried it yet, as I was trying to find an official re-charging procedure (i.e. re-charging the powerbank)

A silly question to those who have this powerbank: Do I just use any USB wall charger (which doesn't come with the powerbank) and stick it into the microusb port? I have a samsung charger which I wont use anymore giving out 5V at 0.7A. Would it work? It says in the manual that 5V at 2A requires 5.5 hours for a full recharge and 5V at 1A requires 10 hours. So 5V at 0.7A would require 13-14 hours??

        • +1

He was asking because there's this statement by another store that a genuine powerbank from XIAOMI CANNOT charge itself.

We use a normal wall adapter. From what I know, the device should be able to control how much goes in. ie: like a phone, it'll limit it as necessary.

        • +2

          @BanSlavery:
I have seen from the xiaomi site a video explaining several ways to determine a fake one, and yes I believe one way is to short the micro usb port with the usb port. I think I did try mine on arrival and the lights weren't on (im charging it now so can't test it), so it indicates a genuine thing.

        • @mocha_latte:

          Thanks! That's a good sign!

  • Looking forward to mine…

  • Picked up mine from the local post office today; ordered around 16th June.

    • How did you arrange that?

      • +1

It was a missed delivery so they left the parcel slips, I meant.

        • Oh right right!

I thought it would be unregistered Aus post?

  • Just got mine today, ordered 24th June

    Arrived with registered Australia Post.

    Will update with details later.

    • First impressions:
Box was slightly damaged (probably during the shipping process) so no biggie.
There were no seals: ie: you could open the box without removing tape etc
Looks like a genuine box with the stamp and sticker.

      Opening:
NOT IMPRESSED, I had to press the bottom back into the case and there is a gap between the base and the actual casing.
I will be looking at deconstruction videos and seeing if I can open it up.
Manual is in Chinese, was somewhat confused as to the point of the big power button but I'll be looking at guides online.
The insides of the box are excellent, I will definitely keep the box and use it as the 'case' for my powerbank when it's in my bag.

Now, I have to test it and compare against 'fake tests'. Will update in a day or so.

  • +1

Picked up mine today, I think it must have been sitting is parcel collection from Friday. I ordered on June 23rd.

Mine was a plastic box with the white plastic wrap, and the plastic box has a seal (like removing tape) and also a another seal tape kind of thing on the usb side and it was in perfect condition.

Came with half charge. will test it out for few days and post details.

  • Received mine two days ago, entered my anti-counterfeit no. into their website, looks like it's real, fully charged with 5.35V, 2A charger in about 5hrs, will test it for a period of time and see how it perform.

  • Have not received mine yet. :(:(

    • same here ordered june 12th…

  • It seems to take 10 to 20 working days, so be patient, they should arrive soon. you will be thinking it was worth waiting for when you start using it.

  • +1

Does anyone have any further comments to make on these power banks as to genuineness etc.

Seems like some of you were testing and/or waiting on delivery.

Can I go ahead and buy one with some degree of certainty that I am not wasting my money?

    • lost hope in receiving mine.
