Already a post for the daily bundles mate

    • Well aware of that - but it doesn't cover the contents or prices of THIS bundle since he isn't prescient.
There are also plenty of posts that humble bundle exists - not a reason not to post when there is a good weekly or monthly bundle either.

      • +2

The daily bundles is part of a 14 day special that humble bundle are doing.

Just like steam summer sales etc one post covers the entire sale period. The post I linked to is a daily updated post to cover entirety of the 14 day daily specials. Each new daily bundle added when he/she gets the chance or someone with editing privileges adds them.

This is how such events are normally covered here.

Edit: I'm not trying to be a dick in any way, personally in this case I think individual posts are better because many people will miss it as this is not as big as steam sales etc.

        • +1

According to ozbargain posting rules. Anything specific not mentioned in the title are allowed to be posted. This deal is legit.

        • +1

I happened not to be doing an all nighter for uni, and fell asleep before 4am :(

But yeh, my post is old and people will miss it. I still update it though just incase. So it's all good!

p.s a shoutout would be cool though :)

        • I was more interested there was a notice up today that there was a CHARITY deal on today :)
Honestly I have never even clicked on your deal, I had bought before you posted. Just it was a repeat deal and at the time had rather gone off posting on OzB because of the negativity.
But thank you for posting Humblebundles - you too WeiKaiLe, and powerB

I was the opposite btw - couldn't sleep, coming off caffeine and my pattern is ALL over the place.

        • BTW - i think you should stop updating your deal with details and post links to the new bundles, post new deals yourself if u want - I feel it is the right thing for a charity deal :)

        • mycosys - Well you've been supported with positivity here, well for posting this deal individually.. some people don't agree that this bundle is a good one, haha. So I hope you'll post more deals.

As I said I wasn't trying to be a dick at all, or even negative, even if it seemed that way. I was just following what seemed to me (can't emphasise enough the fact this was my interpretation) to be standard here… hope it didn't come off wrong.

From the feedback it seems clear my interpretation is wrong and frankly I'm glad it is, individual posts for deals that occur at different times is the way I like it.

I really appreciate your response and your support mate, and i appreciate you explaining your motivation. I am sorry that i mistook your concern for the rules as being a telling off for stealing a deal or posting a dupe and responded somewhat curtly.
You are clearly an outstanding person to be able to so forthrightly admit your error, especially in such a friendly and kind manner. We really need a lot more like you. Thank you again.
And thank you again for contributing deals too - there are far too many here that are all too ready to criticise but have never had the community spirit to expose themselves by posting even a single deal.

Edit - btw, its normally not possible to remove a neg on a comment after an hour is up but after you explained i knew you REALLY didnt deserve it so i begged the mods and they were lovely enough to remove it for me. Thank you again

        • Yep, I'll still update the original - just because.

And yeh it's good for charity, and it's good that someone (you) posted it. I'll post individual ones when I see necessary :)

      • Thanks, thats a lot of effort to go to to defend a deal. I appreciate it.

      • Kamoi - Honestly, if I'd known about the all encompassing post I may have commented in the same way to one or more of those individual posts until somewhere here, like yourself or another, educated me that it is fine to have individual posts despite there being an all encompassing post.

I shall not make that mistake again =)

You seem like a really nice guy :)

        • Cheers mate, appreciate the kind words and you've shown yourself to be one too. Good to have ozbargain being a friendly place, benefits everyone =)

…. not really a bargain. prices jacked up to $7.71 now, hoping it will come back down soon

        • +1

Sorry but that's not going to happen. No one in their right mind would purchase the $1 tier or the average tier. The $1 tier contains the soundtrack which has been offered as a free download from the developers on their Steam Discussion forum since last year. The artwork (according to someone elsewhere) is apparently the same as those you can find on the Steam Trading Cards. Also, as many have pointed out, the average isn't a deal at all. The average is going to go up and it has been since 4 AM.

        • +1

          wow… nasty

          humble team what happened??

        • I just remembered that they only force the $1 for Steam keys so I guess the lower tier may actually be bought by people, although I can't imagine there would be many.

        • …. not really a bargain. prices jacked up to $7.71 now, hoping it will come back down soon

not for one copy, but it is for the 4 steam copies + drm free i posted :)

  • +5

Pay $7.72 to unlock the single game in it's 'bundle'.

Or… buy it from the same damn store for $3.99
    https://www.humblebundle.com/store/p/hammerwatch_storefront

    These deals have been insulting.

    • I guess it will only be worth it if you buy the $8 tier.

      • which would be why I only posted the $8 tier lol. and madea joke you could save about 20c on the other.

  • +5

Despite this being cheaper than normal, I wouldn't support this bundle as it is easily the least thought out bundle Humble Bundle has ever released. If people keep supporting bundles like this, the bundles they churn out are just going to get worse.

    • We have been getting quite a few bad bundles lately. Mostly books, soundtracks and audio books. Now they are doing re-bundles.

      • You should avoid conflating "bundle that doesn't suit my taste" with "bad bundle". Something not being good for you doesn't mean it is bad.
Different people having different tastes is a wonderful thing, and as long as they aret hurting anyone it is great to see them catered to. You really dont lose anything if it doesnt suit you.

    • I actually like it, its a novel bundle, thinking outside the box. It is a game that has its best value in paying in a group of four, so they sell a 'kit' so that you can do so with your mates. I guess i may have a different view cos i really enjoy being able to give stuff to the people i love in my life. I regularly buy gifts of various bundles so i can share those and play them with my mates too, and I also buy multi game packs during sales.

I guess if you arent the sort of person that would buy a game for a friend to enjoy the pleasure of playing it together then it isn't a bundle for you. But is a great one for me. Hopefully they will build on the idea and even introduce multiplayer bundles with 3 or 4 keys of a few good co-op or pvp games at a time. For people that have friends.

  • I think Humble Bundle has lost their concept along the way…I loved them when they packaged indie games together giving them exposure and sales. Now it's just a 'lets make money' online store front than the donation and indie support part.

Anyways, Hammerwatch is a good game.

    • The Indie Bundles mostly sucked with the exception of Indie Bundle 9 and there have been way too many of them.

The Retro/Shooter/RPG bundles were the best value in terms of total playable content and price. Indies can only give you so much replayability, which is usually somewhere in the region of slim to nil.

I bought the WB, Origin, and Retro Shooter bundles on sight. The others require a lot of rationalising before I decide that they might be worth a gander.

      • Got to agree, tho would say didn't suit my taste rather than cuked lol - have bought relatively few of the indy bundles be they HB or one of the indy bundle sites

    • it's just a 'lets make money' online store front

Make money for charity and smaller devs, apart from the store which admittedly just seems to be about using their exposure to get us the best prices they can and make a few bob as they do.
I think with the good they have dont i am not going to begrudge them a few bob for their work - far prefer to see them profit than some steve jobs or bill gates who just rides off stealing other peoples work and the credit for it, and whose only skills ar spin and the ability to use people thanks to a complete lack of conscience. Thank god Gates eventually grew one.

Personal opinion, this is probably the worst bundle I've ever seen offered by Humble Bundle. Some of the other daily bundles have been alright, not this one though.

  • Blurb from GOG - where it is $9.99 without steam key lol

To be fair, during their recent Insomnia Sale it was $1.99 (with the soundtrack) and there were 300 copies.

    • Also to be fair, Pretty trivial number compared to the likely 90,000 keys sold so far today tho hey, equivalent of 75 bundles vs the over 11,000 sold. 300 keys is a TINY amount for a site the size of HB.

Also worth remembering that you can choose how much goes to CHARITY and the devs in a bundle. I tend to give HB a trivial amount to cover paypal and server fees and put the majority to charity and a large chunk to devs. I figure they will make enough from people who leave it default, but don't want to make it so they lose lest they take the option.

  • Bundling a single game in a bundle, so evolutionary.

The bundles keep getting better everyday, can't wait for tomrrow!

    • I kinda like it is a bundle for playing with friends. Its novel. Now i just have to build up my lan - i have 4 quad cores, 4 monitors, 2 9600GTs, GTX460 and GTX560Ti - jus need to put em all together lmao

      • Where are you going to put them? Garage LAN Cafe?

        • I have a really long 'study' so in there.

        • Ha, that's gonna be one hell of a "study" alright.

  • Now that this bundle is over, the Humble Store has returned the price of the game back to $1.99! What a bloody joke.
