  • if the 100th person is reach doesnt that make this deal expired (sold out)? or does it restart every week?

    • 100th person reached for the store in hawthorn(VIC), this deal is for the store in fortitude valley. its a one off deal, doesnt start every week.

look at the people negging. cant even ask a proper question without negative attitude on this site. mods should change it so you can view the neggers

      • +11

So close to racism. .. "officer, I said view the neggers. The NEGGERS".

      • -1

Gave you a +, seriously, a question being asked should not be negged. Perhaps mod can put a feature where when a minus is clicked it checks if there is a ? Symbol then don't do anything.

        • +4

Yes that would not be open to abuse or anything… Would it…? :)

        • +4

Wow this is the most stupid idea i ever seen ?

    • If the OP had posted in the title or description that the deal is on tomorrow at 11am, would have saved confusion. (It is on the deal date & deal link.) I read the deal after 11am & thought I had missed it.

  • Be careful of queue jumpers.
The store dont monitor the lune so if u think u r no. 70 in the line u may miss ot after waiting hours.
Rib n burgers need to hand out preliminary numbers at 9am as apple etc do for their promos..
Its worth paying a few more bux as the $10 burger is petty basic

    • they do hand out prelim numbers at about 930am. $2 for extra cheese, $2 for bacon, what i usually do is order the original for take away and add my own cheese and bacon haha

      • No not true.
it was at 1030 and ppl had to be here by 9am to get in the top 100. Felt sorryfor the 20-30 ppl who wasted their time.
I was no. 71 and ended up with number 90.
Handing out numbers at 1030 was waay too late.
Staff werehovering round from about 930.

    Tempted to move to QLD.

  • Wow, I just live a block away from there! You made my day OP. Yeeehaaaaaaaa!

So, basically you are saying that, although the grand opening is 11:30 a.m. I will have to be there from around 7:00 am to line up until 11:30 to get my card?

    • +1

      oh you have no idea…

      • +1

        Care to elaborate?!

        • grand opening is at 11am, so yes you have to be there at (whatever time you decide) and queue until 11am to get your card

  • +1

Imagine just missing out, there goes a days pay. If your even employed.

    • +2

yeah, but if you get it, thats $520 worth of burgers

  • +1

might have to call in sick today…

    • Ahead of tomorrow? You're one keen burgerlover!

  • Sucks that they're opening at 11am… have to be at work :( I wonder if they require ID or if I could just pay someone to go there for me :P

  • I'm about a 5 walk away from the store. Looks like I'm taking a few hours flex from work tomorrow morning.

  • Free WiFi on James St while you're waiting ;-)

  • Anyone who goes can they report back and comment on whether they got the deal and the size of the line at 11am?

  • Anyone got a card?

    • Yeah I got one from Central Park in Sydeny last year.

  • +2

So will there be a mini OZB meetup on James St tomorrow? :)

    • Use the secret OB handshake ;-)

      • +10

Everyone pulls out their spare Eneloops

  • +4

I want to tell the homeless street ppl, they need this more than anyone else.

    • The viral campaign would be quite a backfire if it attracts unwashed homeless people to hang around the store all the time.

I do like your idea and compassion though.

  • I work across the road, this is a busy precinct and so will be interesting to see how early the crowds build.

There is a cafe next door, so you might be able to order a drinks/food while in line to keep your energy levels up :)

would also need to offer up free insulin for a year to have me interested.

  • Live update from those in the queue- worth going down now still?

  • got there about 945 just made the end of the cue

    • … provided there is no cutting in :D

  • Drove past at 10.50am. There was a pretty long line. I'm sure some people would have missed out.

Didn't see any Eneloops though. Disappointed!

  • +1

The first person got there at 4:30am. Crazy.

    • +1

      $80/hr to wait! Not bad.
$520 value for 6.5 hours wait, or 7.5 minutes per burger. Not so crazy.
