Up to 450MB/s, not likely with the v300.

Good price, but much better off spending the extra on a fast entry SSD like the M500 or better yet, an EVO.

  • Note: postage is not flat rate.

  • May be worth getting if you're not too fussed about IO performance, and really want a 120GB model for as cheap as possible. Then again, you may regret the purchase and kick yourself when you see better faster SSd's come up for roughly the same price on Amazon.

Media editing peepz probably advised to look for higher end SSD's.

  • goddamnit, bought this for $88 around a month or two ago before i read about it being a scam of an sdd

  • fire sale begins…? good as a second drive and for any one got machines with Sata 1.5 or Sata 3.0, the drive still sort of works in a way in performance boost but anyone with a Sata3 6.0, should stay well away from this turkey.

  • Kingston don't make, or use the most reliable flash chips.

If your looking to jump into the world of SSD's, and believe me it is worth the performance hike, spend a bit more money on something more reliable.

You'll be quite surprised how quickly you fill up 120GB's, but if you're looking for something cheap, go https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/144788

  • From my previous experience purchasing an SSD from Centrecom Online Store:

The online store is not considered the same as a retail store. The retail store would only do limited warranty service for you (test the SSD to ensure it is faulty). However, in terms of replacement, they will forward the item to the online team to do it. Refund must go through online support team. For me, Centrecom agreed to give me a full refund, BUT it was quite messy and a long process (as I had to send the SSD back to online store and follow up with the progress).

Bottom line, best to buy it from the Retail store (I am hoping pick up from store means you get the invoice from the retail store). The SSD warranty service from the store is much better. In my case, had I purchased the SSD from Retail store, I would have gotten the full refund on the spot after the technician deemed the SSD is really !@#!#@ (rather than send the SSD back to online store and wait another week).

Looks like the online store has no more stock. Only retail stores still have stock.

  • it says "OnlineOnly", so it's not in store deal… :-(
