Shimano R087 Road Cycling Shoes $39.99 down from $139.99 @ Pushys

370

Big sale at pushys.com.au, loads of bargains for cyclists. I thought these shoes were an awesome deal. I have mates that ride in these and love them. Any of the guys that keep asking why road bikes don't come with pedals, this is a good shoe deal to go along with your new bike! I didn't check out the postage costs.

  • These run a little small so get the next size up . For $40 definitely a bargain .

    • When it comes to cycling shoes you really need to try before you buy. The best (but definately the least ethical) way to go about it is to go to a bike store, try any Shimano shoe (the lasts are all the same regardless of line, whether it be MTB or road shoes) find out your size and then order online. If you're an adult, unless you develop a GH secreting pituitary adenoma your shoe size shouldn't change much through the rest of your life.
But damn that's cheap for R087's. I paid twice that much for my first pair of cycling shoes (the cheaper R076) imported from the UK, and I thought I got a bargain!

  • I have these. Never noticed that they ran small, but I prefer my shoes snug.

Good shoe, I am happy with mine.

  • are these as good as shoes with a carbon fibre sole?

    • Shoes with a carbon sole would probably be higher end, maybe stiffer and probably lighter but definitely more expensive. If you can find some good cycling shoes with carbon soles for $40, please post them up.

  • Shame they are out of stock in my size.
Guess thats my fault for being slow.

    Great deal though

  • This works out to be $52 delivered to Vic.

  • As a non-cyclist, can I wear these just as kick-arounds?

This is pretty much personal preference. For me, there's a Yes :)

      • You probably should not comment if you're not familiar with the product at all saying such things.

These are not at all suitable for waking around in, as per the other comments below.

    • If you like slipping over and having no grip whatsoever, then yes!

    • +1

If you like slipping about like a cat on an icerink then sure!!

  • I've probably done 10,000 km in mine. Bargain shoe at double the price.
