With windows phone, you wont find out what a modern android or ios ecosystem can offer. You will miss the entire mobile phone experience.
It's just a mobile laptop with internet that can make calls. Neg me as much as you want. I have an expensive windows phone I hate everyday. NO FREAKING apps.
agree with you gunny , after all the hype in ozbargain about "how good the windows phones are " i actually bought lumia 625 on the harvey norman sale .

UI is neat and clean,smooth running interface. was really disappointed with lack of apps , not even a proper app for youtube , gmail , all third party apps not even good. went back to android . great OS but lack of apps killing it .

Gave it a try a couple of years ago, and exactly as gunny say, nice phone, screen etc., but just a phone and wasn't able to get the smartphone experience that a modern Android or iOS phone gives you.

I own an iPhone, an android phone and a Lumia 920.
Lumia 920 is the daily driver and the other 2 just sit in a drawer.
Each to there own, but saying a "lack of apps" is killing windows phone is just rubbish. Every major app is on WP8. You'd be hard pressed to find one that isn't.

Some apps even though available for windows phone, are so basic on windows compared to android/ios.
