and looks nothing like it.. working class labourer look must be in

        • Not sure what you were expecting from the Hard Yakka store?

        • Exactly what I was expecting.. hence the labourer comments.. nothing against em.. and lot of HY is multi use.. 50s flying jacket adapation or not I wouldn't wear this… but fashion is subjection.. ymmv

          but fashion is subjection

Evidently correct grammar is also somewhat 'subjective' for hipsters too…

        • -2

lol what is this hipster crap? Just coz I don't like a jacket that's a poor imitation of an imitation?? I blame my bad grammar on the IRC protocol and BBS chats for as long as I can remember:) Negated all my great English grades at school, hah. No doubt you facebookers have perfect grammar and probably speak latin, aswell :P

        • How is it a "poor imitation of an imitation"? The style is just based on a flying jacket.

Or a casual guy in jeans and jacket on a winter's day, bro. Sure beats the youth-in-tight-jeans look (for my money).

Be gentle, cheepwun… fashion-conscious hipster-douches don't want a jacket that will hide their baggy-at-the-arse rear view.

Srsly… do they not realise that their dacks look like they've shit themselves and are carrying around a 2kg diaper-wad? Who invented that look?

their dacks look like they've shit themselves and are carrying around a 2kg diaper-wad?

Considering the number of wimpy, kiddy, baby whiners around these days, that's probably not far from the truth.

Wearing certain types of clothes is the reason for balding? Give this scientist a promotion!

  • thnx…
bought the cargo pants and this for $45 total ($10 bonus when sign up)

    • +2

now i know how to spot you

      • +3

With that face, you don't need cargo pants and the flying jacket to spot him ;)

I like the look of these jackets. I hope one of those crazy xl sizings fit. Thanks.

Not being familiar with "flight jackets", is this basically a medium-weight jacket, with an extra pocket on the sleeve, made entirely of synthetic material?

I believe its HYs take on the old Spicer jackets. I guess they got it from the flying jackets mentioned earlier. They were everywhere when I was a kid in the 70's and 80's. Delivery drivers, government workers, air force, army, navy, all used to have this style of jacket. The Spicers were common place and IIRC, were good jackets, quite warm, but not terribly waterproof.

$20? Throw one in the boot for emergency use.

      • Thanks, bought.

        • Dont blame me… no idea what these are like though. It was just an observation.

  • Don't try to add Green Large to your basket. It'll say it did, but it doesn't. Buggy site.

Fatties already got all the ones that would fit me - at least in black… had to go for Navy, which I did despite my disdain for Rum, Sodomy and the Lash.

I hate you tonight, OzB. You took advantage of me while I was three parts scheisen . I only spent this $20 because in my half-drunken nostalgia I longed for the halcyon days, when the Y-in-a-circle Yakka logo adorned the guernseys of the Mighty Pies. The Carringbush might not have won any premierships during that period, but key forwards would convert at 70% if they found themselves 30 metres out on a slight angle…

As Gwyneth Paltrow might say: spending this $20 is worse than being shot at by Afghan or Iraqi invasion-stoppers. (Not for nothin' but Gwyneth is right: when she cops crap from some journo, or some dill on the internet, she didn't bring it on herself by invading someone else's country based on completely meretricious public justifications).

I hope there's no booze buses between here and my bedroom…
