Had to do a double take when I grabbed this on Sunday.
Took it home and gave it a thorough test before posting this one up. Works fine for Mario Kart 8. Had no problems and it feels just like the legit one.

Mario Kart on Wii never required the num-chuck
From memory it's about $30 for an official Nintendo one
It doesn't require it, but playing MK8 with the wheel is just aggrevating. Having the analogue stick is much nicer to play with.

i bought some 3rd party nunchuks from china once. worked fine for a month or two then the stick becomes looser than … well you know.
