  • Is the website prices US or AU dollars? A get the same delivered price of $93.94 but I presume this would be US dollars.

    • I'm getting $93.94 USD on PayPal

      • Well in that case around $101.50 AU delivered using a 28 Degree's card.

    • Yeah i think its US dollars.

  • How do the M-Duo's compare to the Brainwavz M4's?

  • I got this email too and am looking at getting a pair cos my old MEE earphones just broke (bought two pairs from this, they didn't last long though, which was a bummer).

Anyone who bought the M-Duo's from a previous deal have any observations?

not a fan of mduo tho. I had the a161p which was neutral. It broke and the only replacement they had was MDUO or A151p… first got mduo it was too aggressive on the bass… however after burning them in for a few days .. it has improved in my opinion.

Got my M-Duos today. Sound is great and build seems sturdy (which I'm looking for cos none of my earphones have ever lasted over 12 months.)

The only gripe i have, and i've heard this in other reviews, is the eartips which fit the best (The ones in the middle here, Think Michelin man arms) fit and sound the best, but they irritate the shit out of your ears.

Other than that, you can't go wrong for $49 delivered. Worth every bob.

  • Is that mug in the background for sale? Kind of cool.
    Never mind, found it

  • I have the Matrix headphones, battery life is crazy! I get like 50+ Hours usage out of them b4 I need to charge, not sure how they came up with 22 hours on the website. They sound great and very comfortable. Only cons is when you answer a phone call, there is a lady that talks over to say the call is connected that takes 2-3 seconds and during that time you cant hear what the person on the other end is saying.

    • Yeah that would be quite annoying actually. Hopefully they have addressed that issue in Matrix2 models.

How is BT working, e.g. is stable or does it cut out when listening to music or during calls?
How well is it working with Galaxy S4?
What is the call quality like, e.g. does the person on the other end have any issues hearing you?
Finally, how well do the media control buttons work on S4, e.g. pause/play, skip/return songs back and forth etc?

      • BT if fine & stable during a phone call test using my wifes S3. Call quality is OK.

        Hates:
Control buttons are so stiff & hard to navigate.
Can't be used to walk around >6m as audio will stutter. You need line of sight (without obstacles).

      • No Idea what Pinoy is talking about with the line of site, I get about 50m away on a business floor with kitchen and all sorts of stuff and never drops out. Only time I get drop outs is when I cross roads at traffic lights, no idea why, drops out for 5-10 seconds. Use on the train 1 hour each way, never drops out on my ipad and iphone. Not sure if other devices are better or worse on an S4.

Call quality is good, provided your not in a crowded place, like most open mics, it picks up everything.

Buttons are solid to the point I need to hold the headphone with my fingers and press the button with my thumb, otherwise u just push the headphones off ur head. Not really an issue though.

No Lag when watching movies, keeps up nicely.

        • 50m you get… then you must have a strong BT transmitter thats more powerful than mine. I have the Matrix2… I've just taken a test piss with the headphones on approx 8 steps away from the laptop with 1 wall.. and it has stuttered.

Then again I'll admit that it could be the BT signal on the Laptop restricting the range.

anyway for the price bracket & sound quality. Meelec is a top performer

          Cudos to their warranty !

        • I've just taken a test piss with the headphones on

What?? … Never mind.. forget i asked.

    • Yeah that voice over is super annoying. Don't buy it if you are likely to get lots of phone calls.

  • Do these suffer any audio lag? I tried some other BT headphones on my Playstation Vita and there was about half a second of latency.

    • All BT headphones will suffer some latency compared to wired headphones.

That being said, these have an aux input, so you can use them wired…

    Edit:

Good find OP, I got the feeling that amazon is matching MEEELEC for some reason :/ according to the last few post

  • +1

I got the Matrix2 headset when it was half-price here a couple of months ago, and couldn't be happier. Excellent for podcasts and phone, and even reasonably decent for music. the "audiophile" review on Amazon, however, was drugs induced.)

  • Had a pair od A151's from a previous deal on OzB - nice and sensitive compared to my Brainwavz R1's (also from OzB - MP4Nation IIRC They never missed a beat, until I mentioned this fact to a mate and that afternoon I broke the left conductors in the cable close to the plug :/

SO I ordered a set of these after reading positive things on the head-fi forums - nice find OP!

    • Received them yesterday (FedEx)- after a brief audition they sound pretty nice. Different to the IEMs that I'm used to - more bottom end extension and warmer mids, but not overbearing.

  • AUD100.82 shipped, got one thanks.

  • anyone recived their Item yet?

PS: using first class international mail shipment.
