X-Mirage [iOS Screen Mirroring for PC] - Free, Save $16

280

Mirage offers downloads of X-Mirage for Windows for free. That's $16 off and the first time we've seen this app for free. (We saw the Mac version for $10 in January, for further comparison.) It allows you to mirror multiple iOS devices to your PC, including full screen mirroring. It also allows you to record iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch screen activities with one click.

NB: I'm not familiar with the software, just seems like a deal. Let votes decide please.

Should change the topic title that it's only for a one year licence.

I cant figure out if the license only lasts a year or if you have to simply activate it within a year?? Anyone know for sure?

From the email: "Please note: The free code is valid within one year."

I asked their support (Who were exceptionally responsive and helpful!)

I can confirm that the license will only last for 1 year.

so it's kinda like a 1 year trial of the X-Mirage software

        • That was very proactive of you. :)

Bummer about the 1 year, but still a good offer anyway.

    • Yeah, I originally had this in the title but as Gravy has said, it's not certain if it's restricted to 1 years use or 1 year to activate.
I'm only guessing but the store allows at $16 purchase to be used indefinitely. On the other hand the wording of the email is a tad dicey e.g. "Active Code".
I'll be sure to let you know in just over 364 days. ;)

For anyone that used to use (and love) Maxivista, you can use X-Mirage and Air Parrot ($9.99 - 15% off if you like their Facebook page) to "mirror" an unused video card output to AirPlay, effectively extending your desktop to the PC/Mac with X-Mirage on it. This works under Windows 8/8.1, but it won't add an extra screen if you've already got every output plugged into a real monitor.

My Windows 8.1 desktop currently spans 2 screens; 1 normal one and 1 spare laptop.

Air Parrot has a trial you can use to see if this combination works for you.

    A bit dubious, any advice?

Works a treat for me! Thanks OP, I've been looking for a free alternative (non Mac owner) for this for a while now.

  • Put my email in hours ago, yet still no code! Running off the trial version currently and it seems good.

    • just did it. Got my code instantly.

      • Found it in my junk mail.. Silly me
