Qi Wireless Charger $19 ($10 off) + Free Shipping - RRP $29 @ Kogan

110

First post so please be gentle (otherwise use a toilet).

Kogan just dropped 10$ on Qi wireless charger and free shipping is still on in Australia.

I have been using it for a while and it works pretty well.

  • I do like how they state.. "Compatible with the following phones with no additional hardware" but nearly all the phones need you to purchase a charging card!

  • So would I still need a charging card or it comes with it
    Good first post OP

I have bought two of these at $29 and $15.

    Happy with the quality.

    • Not sure why you got downvoted. I own two of these and they are way better quality than my DX or eBay ones I've bought previously too.

    Kogan….( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I picked up one before it works well but I Wouldn't get one again. It buzzes when charging and is pretty annoying also you need to get the placement just right. Rather pay for the Google one with magnets so your not guessing if it's in the right spot

    • Mine doesn't.. Nexus 5… No buzzing, put IR down anyways…works well…

  • Thanks. I have been waiting for these to drop from $29 for ages now.

  • does this work with LG G2 with no additional charging card?

    • +1

      No.

    • you cant put a charging card in the lg g2, you cant take off the back

Been using this for a year with my N7 and N4. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a Qi Charger.

    $23 delivered.

  • not sure if the same/similiar product, but I've got the matching wireless charger for my Nexus 5. Charging is pretty slow and the phone needs to placed on the charging properly for it work. This doesn't make it practical or convenient at all.
save your pennies and get a cheap cable/charger instead.

  • IE7 Tax?

    • A Tax for using an Outdated Browser. (Internet Explorer 7) Not sure if they are trying to be funny or not…

The way we've been able to keep our prices so low is by using technology to make our business efficient and streamlined. One of the things stopping that is our web team having to spend a lot of time making our new website look normal on IE7. This is an extremely old browser, so from today, anyone buying from the site who uses IE7 will be lumped with a 6.8% surcharge - that's 0.1% for each month IE7 has been on the market

        • This "tax" is also added if you have compatibility view enabled in IE10. Which is still required for some sites. So much for using an "old" browser…

  • Thanks for this, been thinking of grabbing one of these as a backup charger for work.

At home i use the panasonic tm101: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUpr6JkP5ow

The great thing about the panasonic is that when i'm half asleep i can plonk my phone (incidentally also a Nexus 4, though it is not my video) anywhere on the charging pad and it will charge perfectly (no heat issues).

The video guy mentions that the phone begins to discharge once it is full charged, but I'll typically check my phone in the morning and return it to the charger while i'm getting ready for work -> no problem with charge. My wife doesn't like the sound it makes…

Got one of these and it lasted about 3 months before it stopped charging phones

You can get them on ebay from Hong Kong for much cheaper and more reliable.

I have one of these for my N5. Works great, charges pretty fast. Haven't found it a hassle to line up or anything. Infinitely easier to lay my N5 on one of these than fumbling with the microusb cable in the dark.

  • Tried this for a few days on my N5, super slow, was barely charging and often just kept the percentage so binned it …

Official Google Qi is 9W 1.8A AC Adapter vs Kogan Input Voltage 1A, 5-7V…
