  Designer Toys? The day I spend $200 on a Wolverine doll is the day I'm 2 rich to call myself an ozbargainite. This store is a joke!

      It's because they're all 'Bearbrick' figurines. From Wikipedia:

      "Bearbrick (rendered Be@rbrick) is a collectible toy designed and produced by the Japanese company MediCom Toy Incorporated. The name is derived from the fact that the figure is a cartoon-style representation of a bear, and that it is a variation of MediCom's Kubrick design. […] The figure is an anthropomorphized bear with an extremely simplified form and a pot belly".

      In my opinion, they look a bit ridiculous and overpriced. In the defense of the store rep, there are a bunch of other things on sale, but I'm clearly not the target audience.

  I understand the hesitation re: $200 item however there are other items that are just the treat for my kids and I will be buying to put away for Xmas.

    I understand that arriving on the page and seeing the first item only may be enough to freak people out. There are at least a hundred items on the site with the majority of these being under $20 (and now even cheaper with the discount).

    Yes, occasionally, you'll find that larger, more expensive figure (customers have emailed me requesting that I stock these larger and rarer figures) but don't let that dissuade you. Plenty of items for the casual collector, pop culture fan or for someone looking for some gifts to give to their kids or friends.
