Might want to note the Steelseries 6GV2 has a non standard key layout. Specifically the | key.

There is hardly a difference its not a big deal considering people are saving 30$

      • -3

I'd pay the extra 30 for them to relocate the key back to the original position.. haha

Added it to the description, lol its only the |\ key moved from above the enter key to below near the shift

It's a small difference to you, but for coders, etc who may use that backslash key a lot, makes a huge difference.

It's jarring for me because I have to switch between using a normal IBM keyboard at work and then to using this odd layout on my gaming keyboard at home. I also spent $125 dollars on it, and I hate the key layout. Hence my first comment.

        • Yes that is true, but its not like they can't press the button its just in slightly different location, and anyone who wants the keyboard will research it before buying it.

here, its right next to the shift which makes it more convenient tbh

        • could deal with next to shift key like that…can't deal with the other image above and in the description (where the comma should be!!!).

        • Then the steelseries 6gv2 is not for you my friend and anyone else who doesn't like the |\ key being out of place, buy another keyboard lol

    • Looks exactly like the Small Laptop/Notebook key layout.

    • Took a while, but I finally found the missing key :O

I have this keyboard and I never actually noticed. I mustn't use the backslash key very often. My |\ key is next to the right shift.

This keyboard is awesome by the way. It is really heavy and does not move unless you want it to. The keys are excellent. Slightly stiffer than other mechanical keys but really quiet.

  • is this keyboard the lest noisiest amongst the mechanical keyboards ???

    • Blue switches are the loudest

    • Least Noisiest ??

      • Blacks. I have a Cherry Black keyboard (TT Meka G Unit). It doesn't have a clicky sound when depressed.

        • So does it have the same tactile feedback as others switch types or is it more "muffled" to dampen the sound?

        • +1

It has a heavy feel to it, with no click or bump feedbacks. It's a linear switch, but takes 60g of force to actuate. Extremely for gaming, not so much for touch typing (as it completely lacks feedback).

      • yeh id say black or red

  • Cheap for a mx black keyboard. Shame about the layout.

Been using one for a few years now, very happy with it.
